BMW Other tech info
BMW Other description
2008 BMW R Series GSA, 2008 BMW R1200 GS ADVENTURE, Super Low Miles - fully loaded with all options, and some extras: BMW aluminum top case, very bright HID auxiliary lights installed by dealer, Touratech protective elements, Sergeant custom seat - I'm including everything. This is a perfect condition GSA. It has been garaged its whole life, never abused. The Metzler Tourance tires have about 500 miles on them and the bike just had its 24,000 mile service. The BMW GS Adventure is the #1 Adventure touring motorcycle. After a few hours in the saddle, you can understand why, this is a very fresh California bike that I am selling because I just received the new 2014 GSA. Please don't hesitate to email me with any questions you may have. $14,500.00

Bridgestone BT-023 tyre tested
Fri, 19 Mar 2010Replacing the BT-021, the 023 has a uniform carcass construction but has two different compounds of rubber to alter its performance. The inner rubber is harder for increased life while the rubber on the tyre’s edges is softer for outright grip. On the brief dry sections of our ride the 023 seemed to get up to working temperature rapidly and delivered good dry grip, certainly more than enough for most road riders if you are honest about your riding ability.
BMW Design Chief David Robb Steps Down; Edgar Heinrich Named Successor
Mon, 30 Jan 2012David Robb, the man responsible for BMW‘s split-face motorcycle design, has left the German manufacturer. A native of Boston, Mass., Robb joined BMW as its design chief in 1993, and over the ensuing 18 years expanded the company’s product line to include the top selling R1200GS, the six-cylinder K1600GT and GTL, and the S1000RR superbike (that’s him on the far right in the picture above). The 56-year-old’s latest design to enter production are the C600 Sport and C650GT maxi-scooters.
More on 2012 BMW S1000RR Recall
Fri, 27 Apr 2012The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has officially announced the recall for the 2012 BMW S1000RR, providing more information about the problem. According to documents released by NHTSA, the bolts on the connecting rods in the BMW S1000RR may come loose because of an anti-corrosive agent applied to the bolts. The anti-corrosive agent may effect the bolt torque, potentially leading them to come loose, particularly at high temperatures or rpms.
