2001 BMW F 650 GS, Excellent condition, runs great! I've had this bike since April,( put 900 mi on her) and have done the following: New Sargent seat, replaced hand guards, handlebar grips replaced, new mirrors, new chain and sprockets, replaced countershaft gear cover, replaced air filter,(11/13), oil and filter @23,976 mi, new radiator/coolant(11/13). Currently has street legal knobby tires,(approx 6 rides off road with themand included are the Metzler universal tires that came with the bike,(50% tread left). Also included are assorted spare parts: new countershaft sprocket, chain master link, assort bolts/screws, one grip, and Service Manual. AND a TMS Dual Sport jacket with armor, XL, Yellow. Got this bike to try off-road riding again,(after 40yrs!) and have really enjoyed it ..but I have decided I want a more serious , lighter, motocross type dirt bike instead. EICMA 2012: Bimota BB2 Concept Revealed with BMW S1000RR Engine

The Bimota BB2 concept is the first product of a new partnership signed with BMW that would see the German manufacturer supply S1000RR engines for Bimota. The S1000RR engine has class-leading numbers, with the 172.4 hp we measured in our 2012 European Literbike Shootout a 10.4 hp advantage over any literbike we dyno’ed for that shootout or the Japanese Literbike Shootout.
2012 BMW K1600GT, K1600GTL Engine Stall Recall Announced for US
Tue, 03 Dec 2013The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced a recall for 2,475 units of the 2012 BMW K1600GT and K1600GTL in the U.S. because of a software problem causing engines to stall. A similar recall was previously announced in Canada but we now have more information about the problem.

Wed, 16 Mar 2011German fire engine and pump manufacturer Rosenbauer have utilised the ubiquitous BMW 1200 boxer engine to produce a powerful and lightweight water pump. The engine runs as normal, using it's torqey qualities to power the high pressure waterpump attached. Firefighters can carry this compact pump closer to the fire, and go where the normal fire engine cannot reach.
