BMW K-Series description

I'm relisting with a lower opening bid and no reserve; I've got three bikes now and room for only two.  This has been a really good bike but I needed to upgrade to more carrying capacity and I wanted cruise.  I've owned it it about 4 years; the only work it's needed is to replace the fork seals.  I  also replaced both master cylinders and all the brake lines and pads when the lines started swelling.  Fluids are changed on schedule, bike is kept under cover in a climate controlled garage when not in use. No leaks ever.   Less than 1,000 miles on new Metzlers front and back.  Ridden conservatively by a mature rider.  This bike has never left me stranded or done anything except what it was supposed to do.  It's a delight to ride on short trips.

Pearlescent white paint shines and looks good but does have the expected imperfections of 22 years.  I get a lot of positive comments about the overall looks of the bike.  All of the paint is original and the bike has never been dropped or wrecked as far as I can tell.  I like the Corbin Gunfighter seat (very firm) and my wife likes the flip-up backrest.  I have the original seat (looks like new) that'll go with the bike; the original BMW tank bag that looks new will go with the bike as well.

I can't help much with shipping.  I can deliver to your shipper if they are in the Savannah GA area or one of us can be here when they come to pick it up.   $500.00 by Paypal within 24hrs of auction end, balance in one week with transfer of ownership on funds' clearance.  Please call before bidding if you have less than 5 positive feedbacks or if you need more information, my cell # is 912-655-0424.

BMW to Partner with India’s TVS Motor Company

Mon, 03 Dec 2012

BMW is getting closer to signing a partnership agreement with India’s TVS Motor Company. The partnership, expected to be finalized before the end of March, would see TVS receive access to BMW technology while the German manufacturer would increase its footprint in the world’s second most-populated nation. TVS is one of India’s largest manufacturers but it has recently slipped to fourth from third behind Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj Auto and Honda.

BMW S1000RR drag bike

Fri, 05 Apr 2013

Whilst stretched out bikes aren't that popular over here in the UK, you can certainly appreciate them a whole lot more more when you know they're going to be used at a drag strip. This video shows bike builder and ex-racer Roland Sands work his magic on a BMW S1000RR. Future plans are to increase the engine to 300bhp, and achieve speeds of 220mph.

OEMs Plug into Electric Bikes

Sat, 01 Nov 2008

KTM introduced its prototype electric motorcycle earlier this week, and electric bike manufacturer Zero Motorcycles almost immediately responded by opening sales on its 2009 Zero X dirt bike (look for our review of the 2008 model next week!). But these two companies aren’t the only ones exploring the possibilities of electric-powered motorcycles. In September, Japan’s largest industrial information journal Nikkei Business Daily reported that both Honda and Yamaha have set target dates for launching their own electric-powered motorcycles.
