Backstory on the bike. For personal reasons I had to stop riding in 1993. A few years ago I decided I was going to start riding again. I found a bike I wanted to look at but since I'd hadn't  ridden in decades I called a mechanic friend and asked him to come look at it with me. When I spoke to him his exact words were  'Buy my Bike" My friend is a professional mechanic and is very meticulous when it comes to his cars and bike. He told me he stopped riding 3 years ago and the bikes been in his garage under a cover (which is included) He dropped the bike off and I loved it!
As stated earlier this bike has had extensive work and upgrades. He didn't like the smaller front tire that came with the Wide Glide so he put on a Fat Boy front end with a wide tire. He also changed the rear fender to a Fat Boy one. He told me he rebuilt the motor a year before he put it away and put in  new pistons and a bigger cam. Since I bought the bike the first thing I did was buy new tires. I've had the clutch replaced and replaced the speedometer last year.
I love the bike but since getting this one I've since purchased 2 more, a 2003 Firefighter Special Road King and a 1996 9/11 Tribute Sportster. Last year I don't think I've ridden it 20 miles if that. This year in April I started it up and put it away. I ride my Road King and Sportster now so it's time for me to part ways with the Wide Glide.
This happens to be a very desirable model due to the fact it is the first full production year of the EVO motor, has both a kick start and electric. It's so Old School it has chrome spoked wheels and a 4 speed transmission.
The paint it is a dark blue with speckles but when light is absent the bike looks black. You can see the difference in the photos.
NADA has this motorcycle listed in POOR CONDITION at over $5,000. The reserve is set at a decent price. Good Luck Bidding. Any Questions just ask.
