1955 BMW R50

I have owned this BMW for many years and I used to use it all the time. Several times I put on more that 800 miles in a weekend. However, I haven't used it in several years due to work and a new family. I still love it, but I don't have time for it and probably won't for a few more years. Realistically, once I do have time and money again, I will probably get something more family friendly like a Ford Model A. In the meantime, I would like to sell this to pay off some debts and get ahead moving into the new year. I waited a long time for this bike to come into my life, I wanted an early model with all the early parts on it such as the small headlight ears, black face speedometer, headlight bucket with the dent in the back underside, unbraced front fender, sidecar transmission, 1955 hubs with aluminum rims and more. This bike has all of that and appears to be all original, paint and all, except that ufflers have definitely been replaced. Yeah, its has blemishes all over the place but I liked it that way. My long term plan was to restore it eventually and if it doesn't sell, that may still happen. Disappointments of note, missing the ID tag on the fork neck, but the frame is stamped with the same numbers on the block and title. What happened to it? No one will ever know, myself included. I also lost the tool box/ steering lock key. Has some signs of rust starting inside the tank. Something weird happened on top of the tank long before I got it. I never cleaned the slingers even though I have the tools and experience to do it. Pluses, speedometer, lights, charging etc all work fine. No troubles with the running and driving. I was optimistic this year and got plates and new tires for it and put maybe 10 miles on it. Bike is still currently registered but not currently insured for riding. New tires haven't been installed but come with the bike since I won't need them. New Heidenau vintage tread, I forget the exact model number. I could probably deliver within a hundred miles for the cost of fuel and lunch, maybe a little further. The bike can stay for a little while after the auctions ends, but I wouldn't want it to go much longer than 2 weeks. I will work with any shipper of your choosing. There is no warranty, the bike is used and turned 61 this year. Bike is titled as a 1956 even though it is a 1955. It was a common practice to title vehicles the year they were sold, so this 1955 was sold new in 1956.
