I am listing my 1972 Honda CB450 completely rebuilt from the ground up. I built this in anticipation of keeping it for myself but circumstances are forcing me to sell. This bike gets tons of looks and is a real conversation starter. This is a raw styled build where many of the parts have been polished and clear coated. I have spent many hours executing thoughtful modifications or changes to this bike. You could keep it in the raw or repaint it however you prefer. Parts that have been replaced are either original Honda parts or performance upgrades. I have over $6300 in receipts for this bike not counting all about 110 hours of my time in design, engineering and fabrication. I am letting this bike go for well below what I have into it. Serious offers only, I am in no rush to get rid of it as I enjoy riding it once a week around town.

Bike is kick start only but I will include a working starter should you prefer to wire it back in. Bike fires up after several kicks, once the engine has been driven for 10 minutes bike starts on 3rd or 4th kick. Please note that I continue to tweak this ride and since the photos the exhaust wrap has been added and I have begun to strip and polish the rear wheel.

Depending on the offer I may throw in a whole bunch of extras including a spare cb450 engine and lots of other parts. Shop repair manual will be included with a wiring diagram. Title is clear. I reserve the right to cancel any bid and end the auction early as I am selling the motorcycle locally on craigslist and may find a buyer before the auction ends.

Frame

The bike was stripped down to the frame and all non-essential studs and tabs were carefully removed

The original rearset/exhaust mount were also carefully removed and new mounts welded into place. I use 3/8" plate stock for the rearset mounts for a rock solid mount for the foot pegs.  The rear frame was cut, slugs were welded into the frame and the rear hoop was welded into place.

Engine
