Honda Rebel 1100 Touring Variants Confirmed for 2023

Honda is preparing to launch new touring variant for the Rebel 1100 and Rebel 1100 DCT. The proof comes to us via vehicle emissions data from the California Air Resources Board and vehicle certification data from Switzerland.
A CARB executive order certifying the 2023 Rebel 1100 and its DCT variant sees the addition of two more variants, the Rebel 1100T and Rebel 1100T DCT. While the “T” could stand for a number of things, a touring version of the cruiser is the obvious conclusion.
Meanwhile, vehicle certification data from Switzerland also confirms two new Rebel variants, with the model codes CMX1100A2 and CMX1100D2 joining the current CMX1100A (Rebel 1100) and CMX1100D (Rebel 1100 DCT) models. The Swiss document shows no changes to the engine or emissions from the 2022 models, but it does indicate the A2 and D2 variants have a height of 1,180 mm (46.5 inches), or 2.6 inches taller than the existing Rebel 1100’s 43.9-inch height, suggesting the addition of a fairing and windscreen.
The Swiss data also lists the curb weights of the A2 and D2 variants as being 15 kg (33 pounds) heavier than the existing Rebel 1100s. The heavier weight could be the result of a fairing and luggage and an increase in fuel capacity from the current Rebel’s 3.6-gallon tank.
Honda already offers touring accessories for the Rebel, including a small batwing fairing , a rear rack and fabric saddlebags. The fairing alone costs $269.95, and it requires an additional fairing stay ($299.95) and attachment ($38.95). Together, that adds up to a total of $608.85, and we haven’t even gotten to luggage yet.
Combining touring accessories to create a new model makes a lot of sense. We suspect the Rebel 1100T will get a new fairing and perhaps color-matched hard bags instead of the accessory soft luggage.
We expect Honda to officially reveal the Rebel 1100T in manual and DCT versions next month at the 2022 EICMA show in Milan, Italy.

Given a bigger tank and a little more clearance for fewer limits to cornering fun, this may work as a good all-around street bike.
Although ... if Honda brings the new CB750 'Hornet' parallel twin over with options for bags, that might fill the all-around niche even better.

Ah, I will never agree with Burns on that NC750X. It's not a motorcycle, it's a tall scooter. I would rather ride this Rebel or the NT1100, hell, even the old "Dull-vile"

Didn't get me wrong, I like scooters for around town fun and errands. I just don't want them in the shape of a motorcycle. 😉

In freeway heavy US, the scooters which make the most sense, are the taller, more powerful ones with a real suspension and larger wheels.....
Price possibly excepted, I do think the X-Adv would find a few buyer in the US, though. It's wickedly plush over even US style bombed out highways. But it is also getting close enough to full-size baggers ( Which are really scooters, US style...) in both price and weight, to ensure it will always be a bit of a niche.
