Wheels, swing arm , & shock linkage rebuilt with all new bearings. Original tank is NEW OEM. Suspension rebuilt with all new seals & oil. New fork boots. All new graphics. Front & rear brakes are new, cables are new, controls are new. Original 'Z spoked' wheels are good with decent gold anodized DID rims. Pro-Circuit pipe with new DG silencer (ding in pipe). New Uni-Filter. All new rubber manifolds, seals, etc. Over $4000 was invested into this bike and restoration. This is a 2nd kick start engine and bike is very fast. A very good looking bike and she runs as good as she looks. Yamaha “Dark Side of Japan” Teases New Model Launching June 11 – Video
Thu, 30 May 2013Yamaha has released a video teasing a new model it claims “is about to change the sport motorcycle world.” The video, called “The Dark Side Of Japan“, reveals little detail about the new model but promises all will be unveiled June 11. The video includes images from Japan’s vibrant nightlife and lively sub-culture,with youths in costume and exotic hair and makeup dancing in clubs. The new model will reflect this side of Japan, with Yamaha calling it a “new kind of brutal animal”.
Tommy Hayden to Race 2012 Daytona 200 for Graves Yamaha – Video
Fri, 16 Mar 2012Tommy Hayden has signed on to race in the 2012 Daytona 200 for the Graves Yamaha team as an replacement for injured rider Garrett Gerloff. Gerloff broke his right femur in the first Daytona Sportbike class practice session for the Daytona 200, leaving Yamaha little time to find a replacement. Hayden had raced for Yamaha before, and those old ties reconnected quickly in time for the season opening race.
AMA Pro Racing Announces Tommy Aquino Spirit Award
Wed, 12 Mar 2014The sudden and tragic passing of Tommy Aquino has hit the entire motorcycling community hard. In order to preserve and honor the spirit and positive attitude of the late Tommy Aquino, AMA Pro Racing announced today that a “Tommy Aquino Spirit Award” will be granted to an AMA Pro Road Racing rider who best embodies the spirit of the paddock during the 2014 season. The paddock will vote for the rider who exemplifies qualities mirroring those of Tommy including passion for the sport, fan engagement and team interaction. The award will be presented on behalf of Cortech and Shoei at the conclusion of the 2014 AMA Pro Road Racing season. “Over the past eight years we have had the pleasure of working with Tommy Aquino, but he was much more than just another Shoei athlete,” said Hiro Mizushima, President of Shoei Safety Helmet Corp.
