Up for auction is a low mileage, nice 2002 Yamaha V-max. I bought the bike from a salvage-yard approximately 3 years ago and rebuilt it. The bike was laid down on its right side. No motor or frame damage occurred during this accident. The radiator, water pump, right side pegs, mirror and handle bar were replaced (see attached photographs). The tip of the end of the exhaust has a small area of abrasion approximately 1" in size (see pictures). An authorized Yamaha Dealer inspected, tested and tuned the bike before I started riding it. I also put a low profile custom seat and a super brace on the front fork. I have ridden the bike lightly over the past 2 1/2 years. It is too strong a bike for me to feel comfortable riding. Note that this is a very strong running motorcycle and I recommend that only experienced riders bid on it. I have priced this bike to sell. 2014 HRC Dakar Team Announced
Thu, 30 May 2013Today at Mugello, ahead of this weekend’s MotoGP race at the famous Italian racetrack, Team HRC unveiled its 2014 Dakar team and motorcycle. Interestingly, one person many thought could be a Red Rider this year after leaving KTM, Cyril Despres, will not be riding a Honda next year, instead joining Yamaha’s Dakar effort. However, HRC’s team still features five accomplished riders: Helder Rodrigues (Portugal), Sam Sunderland (UK), Javier Pizzolito (Argentina), Joan Barreda (Spain) and Paulo Goncalves (Portugal), all of whom will be competing on the CRF450 Rally.
2013 AMA Supercross San Diego Race Report
Mon, 11 Feb 2013Davi Millsaps captured his second main event win of the season and expanded his AMA Supercross championship lead to 19 points with a wire-to-wire victory at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego. The Rockstar Energy Suzuki rider jumped ahead at the start for the holeshot and held that lead for the entire 20-lap race for the win. Finishing 2.386 seconds back was Team Honda Muscle Milk‘s Justin Barcia while Red Bull KTM‘s Ryan Dungey finished 10.300 seconds back for third place.
