Yamaha TW200 description

Up for sale is my 1989 Yamaha TW200 Trailway. The bike has less than 4100 original miles on it and runs and rides well. I have added many new parts including carb, muffler, rear tire, front and rear sprockets "14/47 for more top end" The bike is not perfect, but is dependable and capable. I was going to leave it in Colorado at my Brother-in-laws cabin but changed plans. It is street legal and tagged and inspected currently. "good thru 04/17" All the electrics work and the inside of the tank is clean. I did have to repurpose the handlebar controls on the right side to accommodate using a BW200 carb and cable instead of a TW200 carb and retain the electric start function as well as the engine kill. I will also include a new rear tube for the bike. "bought it but did not use it when I changed rear tire and sprocket" The battery is recent. The title is clean and in my name and I will include a filled out and signed Texas DOT form 130U with the sale so getting it titled in your name will be hassle free.

I did my best to capture imperfections in the pictures. There is a bit of surface rust on the pegs, and on the rear brake linkage. "and the swing arm, and the handlebars" It's not a new bike. It is a good running and functional 27 year old bike with low miles on it. The electric start works and the kick start also works. Recent spark plug, oil change, and air filter change.

With the 14/47 sprockets the top speed of the bike is around 75mph. "with a 190 pound rider, your results may vary"

I can deliver the bike for .50 a mile "one way" and can have it to you in a couple of days depending on distance, or will be happy to assist the shipper of your choosing in loading the bike at my residence. If you are local you can come pick up the bike and either haul it or ride it home. I included the VIN# in the listing so you can get it insured before you come get it if you plan on riding it home.

I've been buying and selling on Ebay since 1999 and have never had a negative feedback as either buyer or seller. If you are new to Ebay or have fewer than 50 positive feedbacks I would like to talk to you in person before you buy it now.

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Fri, 18 Dec 2009

In a year that saw Yamaha riders James Stewart, Valentino Rossi, and Ben Spies capture the perfect “trifecta” of World Championships, perhaps one of the most memorable moments for race fans around the world, was “King” Kenny Roberts’ return ride at the infamous Indy Mile in late August. As a year end surprise, Yamaha is pleased to offer race fans around the world a video of this monumental occasion. The video features both archival footage from Kenny’s victory in 1975 as well as the events surrounding this recent monumental motorcycling event.

Jefferies' TT V&M R1 for sale

Tue, 26 Apr 2011

We got a tip-off about a former David Jefferies TT R1 for sale on eBay. The owner says it's from the 1998 TT but I'm pretty sure it was the one he raced in 1999. Here's a little bit more background about the V&M TT effort in 1999: In 1990 Jack Valentine gave up racing to concentrate on running V&M Racing, and after being sacked by Honda at the end of the 1998 season, the team set about to do some giant killing.
