James Stewart Signs With Joe Gibbs Racing – Bubba Returning to Motocross and Eying Future in Nascar

James Stewart has signed a multi-year contract with JGRMX, the motocross division of Joe Gibbs Racing. Stewart raced the last three years with the L & M Yamaha factory team, and he will continue with the Tuning Fork brand with JGRMX, riding a Yamaha YZ450F. The two-time AMA Supercross and one-time AMA Motocross Champion will debut with JGRMX at the Jan.

The MotoGP circus moves into it's tenth appearance at the Estoril circuit, with the Portugease circuit playing host to a Grand Prix event in each of the previous nine years since the introduction of the four-stroke MotoGP formula at in 2002. Having won the opening two rounds of the 2014 Women’s Motocross Championship (WMX) – at the AMA sanctioned Ricky Carmichael Amateur Supercross at Daytona International Speedway in Florida, and at the James Stewart Freestone Spring Championship in Wortham, Texas, Australia’s Mackenzie Tricker comes into this weekend’s race at Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino, California, with momentum on her side and a 17-point lead in the series standings. Round three of the Women’s Motocross Championship (WMX) will run in conjunction with the FMF California Classic, which runs from April 9 through April 13, with both WMX motos taking place on Sunday. So far, Tricker has won three of the four motos held to date, and the Yamaha-backed rider is hoping to pad her lead in the series standings with a good finish this weekend.
