Dynojet Sponsoring GEICO Motorcycle Superbike Shootout Pro Sportbike Class

The new three-event GEICO Motorcycle Superbike Shootout Presented by Yamaha is gaining steam as Dynojet Research has stepped up to provide sponsorship for the Pro Sportbike class. Dynojet will also have its popular dyno performance truck on-site for race support. Devised to fill an 11-week gap in professional road racing between mid-March and late May, the Superbike Shootout was inspired by the successful British Superbike Championship series.

AIMExpo Celebrates Its 300th Vendor

With the signing of B&W Trailer Hitches the American International Motorcycle Expo (AIMExpo) has committed 300 exhibitors to its inaugural event this October in Orlando, Fla. “To think that just three weeks ago we were announcing our 250th exhibitor and to now be at a point where 50 more brands have committed to the expo is absolutely remarkable,” says Larry Little, VP and GM of the Marketplace Events Motorcycle Group. TO CELEBRATE the 40th anniversary of man's first steps on the moon, Fiat Yamaha rider Jorge Lorenzo will wear an astronaut-style paint job on his helmet at this weekend's Portuguese GP. The Spaniard's lid has been sprayed to look a little like a spaceman's helmet and has Neil Armstrong's immortal words: "That's one small step for man; one giant leap for mankind" written on the rear. Let's just hope Lorenzo doesn't launch himself this weekend.
