Yamaha Other description

This is a very nice, running and driving 1982 Yamaha XZ550 Vision with only 13056 miles.  The bike is in excellent condition and runs as nice as it looks.  The carbs were just sonic cleaned, rebuilt, and synced.  The front brake was just serviced with all fresh fluid.  The bodywork has all been repainted in automotive grade paint and looks excellent.  At the time of the paint job, the tank was sent to Tank Renu in MN to be blasted out and re-welded (common for these Vision tanks to rust out on the bottom corners).  It has the optional fairing kit with all the trim and vents and low handlebars with the correct length cables.  The tires are in great shape.  The exhaust is clean, but starting to show signs of the baffles rusting out inside.  Overall, this is a very nice, running and driving Yamaha Vision.

Just for a moment; leading the British GP

Tue, 12 Jun 2012

Cal Crutchlow’s early exit at his home Moto GP last year meant we didn’t get to see his awesome potential at Silverstone. His two WSB race wins there in 2010 were pretty special as he dominated on the factory Yamaha R1, not least as he used some alternative lines and every inch of the track along the way. With his form matching the world's best in every event this year, on paper, this weekend should be his best chance so far to secure a podium or maybe even (making the dream come true!) take the first major class win in three decades.

California Superbike School 2-day Camp at Silverstone

Mon, 24 May 2010

California Superbike School will be running a 2-day camp at Silverstone for the first time in the UK this August, offering riders a chance to enjoy extra track time while improving their skills in the art of cornering. Taking place on the all-new South circuit (1.9 miles long with 12 turns) students can ride their own bike or hire a fully prepared 2010 Yamaha R6 with the latest Dunlop Sportsmart tyres and fuel included. Already hugely popular with students returning year after year, previously the 2-day camps have been held in Spain during the spring.
