THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION !! HIGH BIDDER WINS !! You are looking at a 1972 triumph tiger This is an original bike. Just rebuilt the top end this winter. New rings, pistons and cylinders. I put it back to factor bore. In one of the pictures you can see it being put back together. I have put about a hundred miles on it since the rebuild of the top end. The carburetor has been rebuilt this winter also. Has new throttle cable,clutch cable, oil changed, trans fluid,new plugs. Has factor wiring harness that is in condition. The tires still have good tread on them. I also have the original handle bars that goes with the bike. When first started up the bike smokes a good bit for a minute or two, I believe that it is do to when I rebuilt the top end I didn't install new valve stem seals when it sets oil leaks past into the cylinder. The carb needs some tuning sometimes when you give it gas it has a dead spot then picks back up. This bike is not restored and has some chips in the paint wheels have a small amount of surface rust would clean up nice. GOOD TN TITLE IN HAND. What you see in the pictures is what you get. New addition to the cat family

Triumph has unveiled a new product called the Tiger Sport. The motorcycle received an inline 1050cc “triple”, installed on the latest generation of Speed Triple, an electronic “throttle”, a multi-level traction control, cruise control, ABS and a slipper clutch. There is no full specification yet, but it is known that the motorcycle will be produced in two color options: silver and black.

With the full factory fitted arrow system and map fitted it was time to give the Speed a run on a Dyno to see where the power is at. Over two runs the best results were as follows; Power at the crank : 130bhp & 75 ft.lbs torque Power at the gearbox : 124bhp & 72 ft.lbs torque Power at the wheel : 119bhp & 69 ft.lbs torque The bike has covered 4200 miles and is due its first proper service at 6000 so you would expect to see a reduction in power. Triumph claim on a brand new bike the Speed Triple at best puts out 135bhp and 82 ft.lbs torque at the crank with the cans fitted, effectively mine has lost 5bhp and 7ft.lbs of torque.

The lucrative touring segment will soon get a jolt when Triumph enters the market with a flourish. Spy photos from England’s Motor Cycle News show what looks to be a replacement for the Trophy touring model that bit the dust back in 2003. The bike is much larger than Triumph’s Sprint GT sport-tourer, promising a bigger, more powerful three-cylinder engine.
