Triumph Tiger tech info
Triumph Tiger description
This beautiful vintage bike was rebuilt from the ground up by myself and my father in the early nineties. When we rebuilt it we replaced the points with a Boyer Bransden electronic ignition. I have a workshop manual, owners manual and miscellaneous spare parts included in this sale. This was my primary bike that I rode and enjoyed for almost 10 years. When I stopped riding it and stored it in 1998, it was still running, but I had moved on to a larger bike.
The bike has approximately 4,000 miles since I had the engine rebuilt by 6th Street Specials in New York, NY. Right before I put it in storage, I resealed the gas tank due to a small leak, but no gas has been in the tank since it's been stored - inside garage storage. It's currently missing a battery and tachometer cable. Just prior to creating this listing I checked, and the engine is free and turns over. 100% transparency, I have not run the bike since it was stored. There is a small crack in the seat pan that needs to be welded. The frame number and engine numbers are mismatched which is how I purchased it from the previous owner in the early nineties. Bike is not completely original - was rebuilt with the intention of riding so the front fender and seat cover are aftermarket. This bike will need some work before it's street ready because it's been sitting for nearly 20 years... I imagine seals, gaskets and other items that would need to be replaced on any vehicle that's been in storage this long. Due to the age of the bike there is no title, but I do have the last transferable registration from NY state. Currently I have the bike in NC. Bike is sold as is. Minimum $1500 deposit must be sent within 3 days of end of auction. Buyer must arrange delivery; however, seller will assist in any way reasonable. |

Freedom Friday Photo Contest
Fri, 12 Apr 2013Freedom Friday is a call-to-action on the AMA’s Facebook page each Friday to alert motorcyclists about issues posing threats to motorcycling freedoms. Riders can partake in a weekly contest related to these issues and win prizes. Each week’s Freedom Friday photo contest asks AMA members to send a photo of themselves, preferably with their bike, near a symbol of the current topic. The issue that kicks off today is access discrimination, which can be illustrated with a photo of a “No Motorcycles Allowed” sign, “Wilderness” sign or anything related to freedom to illustrate their concern as a motorcyclist.
2013 Triumph Daytona 675 - Factory Kit version
Fri, 14 Dec 2012Factory is the motorcycle world's equivalent of 'legend': it's a word that gets thrown around so much it loses its meaning. However, this Factory Race Kit Daytona 675 justifies the 'factory' tag. It's the kit developed by Triumph for race teams who want a quick step up to the maximum amount of performance a Daytona 675 can offer.
