Rain Forces Triumph Castrol Rocket Team To Look To Bonneville 2015

The past two weekends have produced more than three inches of rain and sad news for Bonneville land speed racing fans.Triumph has released it official statement regarding the announcement by Mike Cook’s Bonneville Shootout that the course will not be ready for its Triumph Castrol Rocket streamliner and others to make a 2014 FIM legal attempt at 400mph. This is not what you want to see the week before racing on the Bonneville Salt Flats. Glen Richards back with Embassy Racing

One of the unsung heroes of the BSB paddock over the past few seasons, has to be 2010 Superstock 1000 runner up Glen Richards. A nasty tumble in at the Brands Hatch opener lead to four DNFs, but once back on track he pushed the dominant BMWs hard, finishing on the podium eight times. While many were trading their grannies to fund new S1000RRs, Richards kept the faith and rode the wheels off his Padgett’s Honda Fireblade.

Triumph’s Wheel Bearing Recall Spreads to US for 2011-2012 Daytona 675, Street Triple and 2012 Thunderbird and Thunderbird Storm

Earlier this week, we wrote about a recall in Canada for unapproved wheel bearings for the 2011-2012 Triumph Daytona 675 sportbike and its naked sibling the Street Triple. As expected, a similar recall has now been announced for the U.S., adding the Thunderbird and Thunderbird Storm cruisers to the campaign. The recall also affects the 2011-2012 Triumph Street Triple R but the Daytona 675R is not included in the recall.
