Triumph Bonneville description

This bike came from an estate and has not been ridden for 2  years. The previous owner maintained the bike well, now it needs a little TLC. The mileage is original as is the paint. I tried starting it and it fires up when primed but then cuts out so I imagine the carbs need a good cleaning. Tires have cracks in the sidewalls and should be replaced. Some corrosion on throttle control housing, chip in gas tank top right.Tear in left side of seat No dents in gas tank or fenders. Shows honest wear for its age. Not butchered or modified in any way. New battery. I have too many projects and this one has to go. I have tried to describe the bike the best that I can, but if you have any questions feel free to ask. Buyer is responsible for arranging shipping.

Craig Vetter Grand Marshall for 2012 AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days

Tue, 22 May 2012

PICKERINGTON, Ohio — AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame member and noted designer Craig Vetter — whose contributions to motorcycling range from the iconic Windjammer fairings and the Triumph X-75 Hurricane to the Mystery Ship limited-production high-performance motorcycles and a number of high-profile motorcycle fuel-economy contests — will be honored as this year’s grand marshal at AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days featuring Rockers and Mods, July 20-22, at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio. Vetter has been a member of the American Motorcyclist Association and a designer since 1965, and his varied background gives him a unique alliance to both the Rockers and Mods motorcycle subcultures. His design projects over the years have involved café racers — the motorcycles of choice for Rockers — and scooters, which are favored by Mods.

New Stuff: Bridgestone Battlax Racing R10s

Fri, 23 Sep 2011

...stickier than a Weatherspoons floor on a Friday night. Well that’s not exactly an official Bridgestone technical term but no matter which way you look at it the brand new Battlax Racing R10 tyre is a ‘Road legal’ Supersport/Superstock race tyre. It’s used as the control tyre for the Aprillia RRV450 race series.
