Suzuki RM description

1977 Suzuki RM400C

--no reserve auction--

-Please also see my very nice RM370 available at my other auction-

NOTE: I will DISCOUNT the price by 10% OFF of total winning $$ amount of each bike if winner buys BOTH the RM 370 & 400 during these two auctions. Auctions have been scheduled to end within 15 mins. of each other on Tues night. Here's a chance to add two very nice bikes to your collection at a 'package deal' price.

1978 RM400C - This appeared to be a relatively low mileage, and almost completely stock bike that we just finished a minor cosmetic and mechanical restoration on. Engine starts super easy and bike runs really excellent. Bike is almost completely original with the exception of new rear reproduction fender. All other plastic is OEM Suzuki and is in really great shape. Has NEW: high quality Bridgeston tires, Renthal grips, new OEM throttle & cable, & new reproduction seat cover. Very nice original handle bars. KYB suspension is completely original and still dampens excellent. New fork oil & seals. Wheels are extremely nice and new brake shoes were just installed. Brand new clutch installed and all surfaces/plates hand ground for perfect action---smooth and tight. New stock gearing sprockets front & rear, along with a new 520 chain. New Uni foam air filter. Original Pipe & new DG steel silencer are excellent---no dings. Original fork boots look almost new. Runs awesome, shifts great, handles great, and is very quick. Bike looks almost completely stock, because it is.

See photos & use ZOOM feature please.  This is your best way to determine it's actual condition.

This bike is also for sale on my website AzMikesVMXbikes.com, and I reserve the right to end auction early with an acceptable offer.

$250.00 deposit due within 24hrs of auction end. Balance to be paid in full either upon pick up with cash, or in advance with check or bank wire transfer. Bike does not leave my possession until paid in full and all funds have cleared. Balance due within 7 days of final purchase.

Bike is sold in used and as-is condition with no warrantees or guarantees of any kind offered. This is a used vintage off road racing motorcycle, but buyer must know there will still be items needed to replace or correct by buyer, prior to buyer riding or racing this machine. At the very least --- new fuel, carb cleaned, and fresh oil needs to be installed in both gearbox and injection unit. Bike has been unused for many years so please give the entire bike a thorough RACE PREP prior to riding or racing it.

No Title. Bike sold on bill of sale if so desired. Mileage is an estimate. See photos for condition.

Don't become another crime statistic

Mon, 13 Jun 2011

On average approximately 50,000 motorcycles are stolen each year. They're taken from outside homes, from large urban environments across the countries major cites and highly organised gangs are at the heart of thefts preying on innocent motorcyclists. Experts of motorcycle security, Acumen advise on how to protect your bike: How to reduce the chance of theft Protection is like layers of an onion – the more the layers; the longer it takes.

BSB 2012; Mystic Mac investigates

Tue, 03 Jan 2012

In my opinion, the smartest move in the BSB off season has to be Michael Laverty moving from Swan Yamaha to HM Plant Honda. With a ban on electronics for 2012, and in particular traction control, WFR's Graham Gowland has already proved to Laverty how competitive an EVO spec Fireblade can be - so I’m tipping both these riders to be bang on the money at the Brands Hatch season opener in April. Unlike BMW, Kawasaki and Yamaha, Honda have deliberately developed their road-going Superbike without electronics to give a user friendly feel with good mechanical traction, so it’ll be interesting to see how the opposition copes with their high-tech trickery stripped off.

Natural Habitats

Sat, 26 Jan 2013

SAM Christmas has been a professional photographer for the last 3 years and is the man behind Natural Habitats, a collection of photos covering the growing UK custom scene, showing bikes and their builders at home.    Sam's clients include the likes of Honda, Dainese, Google, Polo Jeans and Edwin denim but Natural Habitats is a personal project that took one and a half years to complete. I got to meet Sam when the exhibition opened in Shoreditch on Thursday evening.
