2004 Suzuki Katana 600 (GSX600F), GSX600 - The Katana 600 has long been known for its winning combination of comfort, sporting performance and affordability. The Katana 600 comes equipped with a responsive 16-valve, four-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine. Its sturdy perimeter-style frame is complemented by a well-balanced suspension system. The front fork features adjustable rebound damping, while the link-type rear suspension utilizes an adjustable shock absorber. A week on from the Suzuki MotoGP test at the Misano circuit, and the team has wrapped up its final test of the season at Mugello. Here, team riders Randy DePuniet and Nobu Aoki tested a new cowling, an updated chassis, as well as further revisions to the electronics package. The new cowling was reported to give a better top-speed performance without any negative effects under different circuit conditions, so it was an improvement and step-forward from the team’s initial test of it in Misano.Thu, 22 Oct 2009

Marco Melandri earned BMW its second ever World Superbike victory to move into second place in the championship standings behind Max Biaggi in the series’ only stop in the United States. Melandri won a red-flagged Race Two at Utah’s Miller Motorsports Park after finishing second to defending WSBK Champion Carlos Checa in Race One to give him 142.5 points on the season, tied with Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes but behind Aprilia‘s Biaggi who leads the way with 160.5 points.
