Suzuki Other description

This is a 1973 TS 400 Apache I acquired on a multi bike purchase which was a 74 TS250 & A 73 TS400 and this was part of the deal. Someone back in the day had converted to a trail bike by hacking the wire harness, removal of all lights and switches and has installed TM front suspension and rear wheel.. I checked spark and compression and both were great so I installed a refurbished carb from Paul Miller motorcycle, new air filter, new intake boot and throttle cable, check clutches and they were free, installed new transmission fluid, sprockets and chain, new knobbies with tubes, check tank-very clean and installed\a new fuel tap and line, regreased the steering bearings, put on some PE bars with new levers and the beast fired right up, idles and runs great for a 43 year old motorcycle The following is a lost of all new parts;
Throttle cable, air filter, intake manifold, fuel tap and fuel line, levers and perches, sprockets and chain, new knobbies and tubes, front fender, rear shocks and misc hardware. Refurbished parts include; handlebars, engine covers, exhaust  and carb.
The Good; This bike starts good, idles easily, runs great, shifts through all gears and stops as a TS400 should
Whats needed; fork seals and decompression cable and switch and a kill switch
The bad; previous owner has chopped original wire harnes and removed all electrics and lights
The ugly; Either ride as is and enjoy-put back on street($1000.) or TM clone ($750)

Thu, 05 May 2011

Did we see the future of World Superbike racing last weekend at the BSB event? Possibly, but only if everyone is on Evo spec machines in 2012. By setting the 2nd fastest lap in race one and running second for a while in race two, the brilliant Alex Lowes proved that with a good grid position an Evo spec machine can be competitive for part race distance at least.

2013 AMA Supercross Houston Race Report

Mon, 08 Apr 2013

Ryan Villopoto captured his fifth-consecutive AMA Supercross win and sixth in seven rounds with a victory in the main event at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas. The Monster Energy Kawasaki rider passed holeshot-taker Mike Alessi on the opening lap and led the rest of the way for the win. Alessi, riding the Motoconcepts Racing Suzuki RM-Z450, remained in the hunt for the first few laps but soon gave way to a group including Team Honda Muscle Milk’s Trey Canard, Red Bull KTM‘s Ryan Dungey and Yoshimura Suzuki’s James Stewart.
