This special equipped production model will be limited to 1,985 units worldwide, taken after 1985, when GSX-R series was introduced and completely redefined the definition of a sport bike. The first race saw the reigning World Superbike champion fight his way up from 11th place for the win while Race 2 offered a three-way battle between the two Kawasaki riders and Aprilia‘s Sylvain Guintoli. 2012 Crescent Suzuki GSX-R1000 WSBK Racer Revealed
Tue, 07 Feb 2012The Crescent Suzuki race team unveiled its 2012 GSX-R1000 race bike for the upcoming World Superbike Championship season. The team revealed the livery for the Superbike which will be ridden by American John Hopkins and Englishman Leon Camier for the 2012 campaign. The 2012 Suzuki GSX-R1000 racebikes are prepped by tuning company Yoshimura.
Suzuki GSX-R1000 Sportbike Gets New VVT System
Tue, 29 Jan 2019Suzuki has adopted the SR-VVT (Suzuki Racing Variable Valve Timing) system on the 2017 GSX-R1000. A centrifugal drive system is integrated into the intake gear and adjacent guide plate. It features 12 steel balls and slant grooves to rotate and synchronize the intake valve at a predetermined RPM for increased power at high RPMs.
