Suzuki DR-Z description

The DR-Z400S looks like an off-road machine, and it is - with all the unmatched performance capabilities you'd expect from a Suzuki. But look a little more carefully and you'll see you get a bonus: it's 100-percent street legal. The DR-Z400's exceptional off-road performance should come as no surprise. After all, it uses the same advanced suspension as the renowned DR-Z400E. It also has a lightweight, compact design that helps it offer crisp handling everywhere from tight, technical trails to wide-open fire roads. Off-road or on the street, the DR-Z400S provides strong torque across the powerband and amazing throttle response. And it features remarkably smooth performance, complemented by conveniences such as electric starting and a compact, easy-to-read instrument cluster. On the trail or cross town, you can't beat the 2008 Suzuki DR-Z400S.

This is a really nice, clean, 2008 Suzuki DRZ400SK. Less than normal wear and tear. 6465 miles. Front tire is almost new, the rear is approx. 75%. Chain and sprockets have lots of life left. Well maintained and cared for. One owner. Gas tank has no dings. Plastics are all great with, just a few scuffs. No seat rips or tears. Never been down.  A great find!

Suzuka Eight Hour capers

Mon, 05 Sep 2011

Chatting to TT legend John McGuiness recently about his first Suzuka Eight Hour experience got me thinking of a few capers the boys and me managed a few years back at what is still Japan's most important race of the season. It is a unique event that starts at 11am and finishes at 7pm making  it a pukka endurance race as the last hour is run with headlights on in the dark. It is essentially an eight hour sprint that showcases the trickest endurance machinery and manufacturer’s sales can be affected the following year depending on who wins or loses.

GSX-R600 and CBR250R the glass is half full

Wed, 13 Oct 2010

Suzuki’s GSX-R600 might not look that much different to the outgoing model but I suspect this bike could be very much a dark horse in 2011. I say this because two years ago I was definitely not building my hopes up en route to the K9 GSXR 1000 launch. The leaked pictures suggested the biggest change from the 2007 version would be some fresh graphics but I was so wrong.  As it turned out, I was greeted in Almeria with a brand new bike, built from the tarmac up and it proved to be more than a match in every department for the much hyped 2009 Yamaha R1.

A Dizzying Lap Of Donington Park + Video

Wed, 28 May 2014

Donington Park in the United Kingdom is one of the most unique racetracks on the World Superbike calendar. With wide, fast, sweeping corners combined with tight chicanes and road undulations, the track is challenging for many riders. Here, climb on board with Giuliano Rovelli as he pilots a Suzuki GSX-R1000 around the track with several Nilox cameras mounted for a bevy of different angles.
