1955 Other Makes Piaggio on 2040-motos

The odometer shows 1493 miles which I believe to be correct as the speedometer/odometer still work.  The engine starts religiously on the first kick, the clutch and transmission allow smooth shifting through all 3 gears, both front and rear brakes work great, and the headlight and horn work as well.  It came with a New Mexico licence plate dated 1973.  

As far as I know, all the parts are there with the exception of the glass headlight lens.  There is only light surface rust on the body, small scratches in the paint, and a small dent on the left hand cargo box. There is no key to lock the steering, but it is in the unlocked position.  The seats are in need of recovering/replacement, but it does come with the pillion seat.  There is no title for this vehicle.

Since getting this scooter, the only things I have done to it are; degum the gas tank and carburetor, change the lubricant in the drive gear, lubricate the scooter per the owner's manual, and put on a new pair of locally sourced tires and tubes.  

My friends and I have driven it around the neighborhood, and it runs like a champ!
