2005 KAWASAKI ZZR1200, Nice low mileage 2005 Kawasaki ZZR1200 with Kawasaki side cases (aka saddlebags) - not shown in the main photos. The ZZR1200 has a torquey, powerful engine based on the Kawasaki Ninja 1200 but with a comfortable riding position appreciated by sport touring enthusiasts. In addition to abundant power, the bike features an aluminum perimeter-style frame reinforced with internal ribbing to withstand mass miles of sport touring plus a steel subframe that accommodates roomy Givi-designed Kawasaki saddlebags. The ZZR1200 has a light-handling nature enhanced by Kawasaki’s UNI-TRAK rear suspension system that produces progressive rates on the shock for an overall smooth ride. WSBK: 2012 Misano Results – Video
Tue, 12 Jun 2012Max Biaggi strengthened his hold on the 2012 World Superbike Championship lead with a pair of wins at Italy’s Misano circuit. The Aprilia rider out-battled the Althea Ducati duo of Carlos Checa and Davide Giugliano to win Race One before taking a relatively easier Race Two victory. Before the races, WSBK riders lined up on the starting grid to hold a banner expressing their support for the Emilia region in northern Italy which has been suffering from earthquakes and continuing aftershocks since late May.
2013 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R Homologated for AMA Pro Racing Despite 636cc Displacement
Wed, 06 Mar 2013The 2013 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R has been homologated for AMA Pro Racing, making it eligible for the Daytona Sportbike and Supersport classes for 2013. The news comes as a bit of a surprise as those classes typically consist of Inline Four racebikes with a displacement smaller than 600cc. The new Ninja ZX-6R immediately carries a displacement advantage over its I-4 competition in the class such as the Honda CBR600R, Suzuki GSX-R600 and Yamaha YZF-R6.
2014 WSBK Provisional Entry List – 27 Riders and 9 Manufacturers
Thu, 30 Jan 2014The International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) released a provisional entry list for the 2014 World Superbike Championship. The provisional list includes 27 riders riding motorcycles from nine different manufacturers. Of these riders, 12 are riding in the new EVO sub-category which limits engine upgrades and electronics to Superstock class rules.
