Kawasaki Other description
Up for auction is a 1980 Kawasaki KZ1000 Shaft. Bike has been parked for the last 3 years, but ran good when parked. Will likely need the carbs cleaned. The bike is complete and all original, except the paint and seat. It has a clean Indiana title. All electrical works as it should when hooked to a charger. It has two keys. The inside of the gas tank has been coated. Bike only has 6,036 miles. The paint does have some chips. The seat is in good shape. Very little rust on the bike. This is a solid old Kawasaki that can be back on the road with very little work. Good clutch, good engine, and good transmission. Just needs a tune-up and new owner! Bike has been ridden and does show signs of wear, but always stored indoors.
Good luck bidding!!!!!

Simon and Leo
Thu, 11 Aug 2011If you are a track day regular this year, you may well have bumped into former racer and friendly Kiwi, Simon Crafar. I first met him in Malaysia in 1990 when he was riding for a Yamaha dealer team, sweating his way round circuits like Shah Alam and Johor Bahru but with a long term plan to make it onto the World scene. And he didn’t take long as after riding for Honda in the UK in 1992 he moved to WSB in 1994 and enjoyed success with both the Honda and Kawasaki factory teams.
2013 AMA Supercross Houston Race Report
Mon, 08 Apr 2013Ryan Villopoto captured his fifth-consecutive AMA Supercross win and sixth in seven rounds with a victory in the main event at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas. The Monster Energy Kawasaki rider passed holeshot-taker Mike Alessi on the opening lap and led the rest of the way for the win. Alessi, riding the Motoconcepts Racing Suzuki RM-Z450, remained in the hunt for the first few laps but soon gave way to a group including Team Honda Muscle Milk’s Trey Canard, Red Bull KTM‘s Ryan Dungey and Yoshimura Suzuki’s James Stewart.
