Kawasaki Ninja description

Hi there!

I am selling a 2005 Ninja 250 with 4728 miles on the odometer. I purchased this bike last December from Recycled Motorsports in Sherwood AR and I have had some great rides with it.
This bike had evidently been sitting for a while before it was sold to me as the tires were rotting and the mileage was quite low. It has a salvage title.

I have only done three things two it during my ownership and they are -

New tires
New wind screen
Fresh oil and filter

It runs great but I am honest and will tell you the few negatives of the bike -

The idle is a bit low. I suspect that is due to it sitting for a while. You can adjust the idle up with the thumb screw on the side but you will end up going back and forth as the bike warms up. It idles at about 800 or 900 rpms usually unless you adjust it. It has died on me from getting to low before.

There are some small scuffs on it from it being dropped at some point during it's life. The scuffs are small and I honestly didn't notice them until the first time I washed the bike, I have pictures of them.

There is also a small crack in the right fender that is not pictured.

There is a small oil leak that seems to be coming from the shifter seal. The leak is very small, It's one of those that is hardly worth fixing since I am only topping oil off every several hundred miles.

The kick stand seems as though it is allowing the bike to lean over a little low when parked. It certainly won't tip over it's just something I noticed.

Buyer is fully responsible for pickup.  If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

( This item is being relisted due to an unresponsive bidder, Please only bid if you are serious about purchasing )

   Thanks
         -David

2013 AMA Supercross Salt Lake City Race Report

Mon, 29 Apr 2013

Monster Energy Kawasaki racer Ryan Villopoto demonstrated once again he is a the top of his sport, clinching his third-consecutive AMA Supercross championship. Villopoto cemented his title with a win in front of 43,149 fans at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, Utah, his ninth main event victory of the season and 33rd in his career. Though he led every lap, Villopoto didn’t have as easy a time in Salt Lake City as he has had in some races this season.

Kawasaki Producing 599cc 2013 Ninja ZX-6R for Japanese Racing Homologation

Wed, 31 Oct 2012

When Kawasaki announced it was upping the engine displacement for the Ninja ZX-6R to 636cc, the immediate question on many Team Green fans’ minds was what it would mean for the company’s supersport racing efforts. Kenan Sofuloglu won the 2012 World Supersport Championship on a Kawasaki ZX-6R, but under the regulations, he may not be allowed to defend his title next season on the 2013 model as homologation requirements in Supersport racing series limit Inline-Fours to displacements smaller than 600cc. Fear not however, as Kawasaki will be producing a special version of the ZX-6R with an engine displacement of 599cc, the same as the 2012 version.
