Kawasaki Ninja description

This is a beautiful freshly painted bike. it wasnt wrecked i just didnt like the color so i had it completly wrapped in carbon fiber body wrap, i didnt like that very much and decided to just have it all tore down and completly painted. paint job is flawless and beuatiful. I took this in on trade just to resell it but it got a little out of hand with buying way more than it needed. this is everything i did: i stretched it 10", and its adjustable from stock to 10", lowered it 3" in back and it was lowered 1" in front so i purchased all new fork inserts for the front so it can be changed from stock to 1", 2" or 3" drop just like the rear is adjustable, hollowed the muzzy silencer (sounds insane) already had full muzzy header, put billet adjustable mirrors, billett adjustable kick stand, all new flush mount carbon fiber turn signals front and rear, shaved under tail, tuneable power commander. now the kicker... i was told it had a big bore kit in it, and i did in fact find a crappy little tag on the head that says its a 1560cc big bore stroker motor from proworx engines, but here is my thought on that, i have had a ton of bikes of all sizes and this bike i will say is exceptionally fast compared to any 12 i have rode and in addition all my buddys that ride big bore bikes agrea its much faster than a typical 12, but with that said, to look at the motor, it looks 100% original and 100% factory and i find it hard to believe that this bike has ever been apart let alone the motor being pulled out at some point. i just see far too many things on this bike that tell me its never been apart at all. im a mechanic and its just somthing you can tell if someone took somthing apart before and this just doesnt appear that way. but if in fact it was done, i would say it was the cleanest and most profesional job that i have ever seen in my life. but in my opinion im calling BS on it being a custom built big bore stroker motor. it just runs so smooth and clean compared to all the bikes i have rode and owned that had big bore kits or stroker motors, so take that info for what its worth to you. i will listen to offers but don't low ball me, i have way more in to it than 6500 and thats my fault, so im just trying to recoop some of my investment. If you need to clear this with your wife or banker, then do that before you call me. I listen to cash deals only. Don't bother with a check or payments. This bike is ready to ride, very reliable, and is a sick head turner. bike is also regeared 1 tooth down in front and two teath up in rear. call will with quetions or offers. 574-361-0449

Steam Punk Bike

Wed, 19 Jan 2011

This steam-punk inspired bike is the work of LA based sculptor and, er, free thinker, Baron Margo. From what we can work out is uses an early eighties air-cooled Z1000 Kawasaki as a base and is cloaked in this hand beaten alloy and copper bodywork. Can’t imagine it’s much fun in a cross wind, though.

2014 Kawasaki J300 Scooter Spotted Filming in Milan

Thu, 03 Oct 2013

Of the “Big Four” Japanese motorcycle manufacturers, Kawasaki stands out from Honda, Suzuki and Yamaha in at least one notable way: it doesn’t produce scooters. Well, at least not for developed western markets. In the Philippines, Kawasaki offers a 112cc step-through scooter called the Curve, pictured above, while other Asian markets get underbone-style models like the Indonesian Kawasaki Edge R.

Riding Impressions Of The Virginia Tech Bolt+ Video

Fri, 18 Jul 2014

During last weekend’s round of the eMotoRacing series, held at New Jersey Motorsports Park, the series had a special entry. Mixed among the Brammo TTXs and Empulse Rs that are normally seen in the series, the Bolt II electric motorcycle from Virginia Tech University filled a grid slot amongst them. Here, series founder, promoter and competitor, Arthur Kowitz tells us what it’s like to ride this completely student-built electric racing motorcycle.
