Spectacular Condition Factory Original Indian Black Paint with Red Leather Seat and Saddlebags. Having just over 700 miles and being garage kept and meticulously dealer serviced, this bike is as near to new as you will find a used bike. It has never seen snow or salted roads and has only seen rain once for 3 miles! It is washed weekly and waxed regularly using Griot's Garage products exclusively. It has had all recalls performed and just had all the fluids changed for 2017 riding. Not to be confused with the mass produced Polaris Indians, this is one of the approximately 1100 Kings Mountain Indian Motorcycles that were all USA hand assembled making it even rarer than the ultra hi dollar Indian fours of the 1920s and 1930s. There are very few modern motorcycles that, carefully ridden and maintained, will likely be worth more in 10 years than they are today. This bike, given its high quality and rare production, is likely one of those few. All photos were taken recently, so, what you see in the photos is exactly what you will be getting. Hornaday’s top-of-the-line black & burgundy Vintage was built to his specifications and features optional painted rims, black leather saddlebags and seat with fringed leather. Hornaday mentioned that one of his favorite photos is of his father, a racing legend himself, seated on an Indian Chief, just before he sold it to go into the Army.
