2001 XR70 BOUGHT IT FROM A DRAG RACING BUDDY WHO USED IT IN THE PITS AT THE TRACK. BOUGHT IT FROM HIM IN 2006 WHEN HE RETIRED FOR MY SON. BOY IS NOW 13 AND 6 FT. HE DOESN'T FIT THE BIKE AND HASN'T RIDDEN IT IN 3 YEARS. IT IS TAKING UP SPACE AND NEEDS TO GO. STILL FIRES RIGHT UP AND RIDES NICE. I WENT THROUGH THE CARB AT THE BEGINNING OF THE SUMMER AND HAD IT RUNNING GREAT. IT HAS SAT SINCE AND STILL RUNS GOOD. PROBABLY COULD USE THE CARB CLEANED AGAIN. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THIS AND I WOULD NOT SELL IT IF THERE WAS AND I DID NOT MENTION IT. I NEED THE SPACE MORE THAN THE TOY. PLEASE CALL ME IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS 812-987-8759. More Than $5 Million Available From 2014 Honda Red Riders Rewards
Fri, 17 Jan 2014The continuation of Honda’s Red Riders Rewards program for 2014 means more than $5 million in earnings will be available to racers. Honda owners have the opportunity to earn payouts at more than 1500 races in 2014 motocross, off-road, dirt track, ATV and road racing contests throughout the country. Honda’s press release was awfully thin with details for road racers, instead focusing on a restructure of the off-road series payouts and the different ways competitors can hope to win money in.
US Motorcycle Thefts Down 6% in 2011
Tue, 09 Oct 2012Americans reported 46,667 motorcycle thefts in 2011, a 6% decrease from 49,791 stolen motorcycles in 2010, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau. Despite the drop in reported thefts, the non-profit organization representing nearly 1100 property and casualty insurance companies says the theft rate still averages out to one motorcycle stolen every 11 minutes in the U.S. The numbers were published in the NICB’s 2011 ForeCAST Report which examined theft reports as well as recoveries.

Thu, 06 Feb 2014There is no real off season in Moto GP. Although we complain about being starved of racing, for those at the sharp end, in little more than two months they have new bikes to assemble, team staff to put in place and sponsors to nail down that will pay for it all. This time frame is also tight for riders, as it seems more every year go straight under the surgeon’s knife after the last round and spend the short winter recuperating for the season ahead. The 2014 Moto GP championship looks like a cracker as apart from the ten full factory riders we now have at least eight non factory riders with properly competitive machinery. We also have five Brits on the grid, two with podium potential. Whatever happens though (providing you have BT Sport) you can just sit back and enjoy watching the incredible Marc Marquez do things that shouldn’t be possible. Speaking of whom, I didn’t believe a Rossi replacement would come this soon. And when I say replacement, I mean a rider that is the full package. Although in some ways quite different to Vale, he’s an equally phenomenal talent plus a very likeable character that appeals to the masses and although respectful to his rivals off track, deadly competitive in the heat of battle. Being young and good looking he’s obviously a dream for sponsors and the sport in general. Marquez has evolved in his own way but thankfully into a perfect replacement for our sport when the VR steps down.
