This auction is for a very mechanically sound 1984 Honda VF1000 Interceptor. Tires are two seasons old with about 2000 miles on them. New brake and clutch hoses. Pads and chain are in good shape. Upgraded rear shock with remote gas reservoir. F1 exhaust installed, the OE exhaust and tool kit also come with bike. I am the third owner, and have had it just under a year. In that time I put 2000 miles on the bike, all trouble free. In a single weekend I put about 800 miles on, traveling both Interstate and winding mountains. The motorcycle performed great. I would ride this bike any distance with no hesitation. I am selling to make room in the garage - too many toys. The bike is cosmetically nice aside from the normal wear associated with a 30 year old vehicle, and a small dent in the gas tank. She is not a museum piece but is a very good ride ready bike. Lever suspension, which stabilizes the bahavior, may appear on other models of the company in the future. This is hinted at by patent images of similar systems integrated into the design of completely different motorcycles - the “classic” CB1100 and the small-capacity C125 Super Cub.
