Honda Interceptor description

Classic 5th Generation VFR 800FI Interceptor in very good condition. Brand new sprockets and chain, as are front and rear brake pads, spark plugs and air filter. All the fluids have been replaced (oil, brake and cooling). All have test miles only on them. Heli Bar risers and Vance Hines slip on. No electrical problems. This well maintained bike is clean and the body work is in very good condition, there are some very minor blemishes associated with the bike's age and one very small dent in the tank on the left hand side. Tinted windshield. Owners manual, rear seat cowl and passenger grips all present and correct. The bike has covered 34,475 miles and is rock steady. Since wild camping in the UK is generally regarded as trespassing, I opted for a crowded campsite in the heart of Sussex, open fires allowed, to see if the MOTOTENT is worth the £399 price tag. On the face of it the MOTOTENT is essentially a two man dome tent with a porch, Well I can pick up one of those up from Argos for £100 or less. Also I was struggling to understand why you would buy a tent that you can sleep in and store your bike in overnight, certainly in the UK most places you are likely to stay are fairly secure campsites.

Top box trauma

I've struggled with my Honda hard luggage over the past few months, I have to admit. To much office hilarity (and piss taking) I managed to lose the top box just a few miles from the office. I thought the locating mechanism was fastened securely but the first rapid getaway from the first set of traffic lights on Upper Street proved me wrong.It was at least a mile before I noticed that my top box was absent.

As I’ve been gagging for the new race season to kick off so it was almost a pleasure getting up at stupid 0 clock to watch the World Superbike Championship opener at Phillip Island last weekend. I have to say Messrs Burnicle and Whitham were on form although I was disappointed there were none of the usual verbal attacks on each other that always add to the entertainment. I’m sure they will put things right soon but the world superbike regulars must have been disheartened that Moto GP veterans nailed five of the six available rostrum slots.
