Honda Interceptor description

This bike is about as fun as it gets. It is lightweight, sounds great, shifts perfect, runs all the way to 12,000 rpm with no problem. The Hindle exhaust was $1,000 new and is in excellent shape. Tires are like new Metzler's. The seat in in good shape but has a couple blemishes on the rear portion--see pictures. All of the controls work--headlight, high and low beam, turn signals, horn, kill switch, tachometer, all dash lights.

It has just had the following maintenance performed--Fuel system--tank cleaned and epoxy clear coated with Caswell Plating's best product. New fuel petcock. Carbs cleaned, rebuild with Billy Carr's rebuild kits. This bike has a K & N air filter. It has a new battery. Fresh oil and filter. New NGK spark plugs. The brakes have stainless steel lines, fresh brake fluid, front and rear and the clutch system has been bled and has new fluid. Work performed by a 33 year certified Honda Technician.

This is a very nice 32 year old bike--it is not perfect, but it is a lot of fun per mile.

Fri, 19 Jun 2009

The Postie Bike Challenge started in 2002 as a one-off event in Brisbane, Australia to prove that small bikes can travel long distances over both asphalt, dirt, sand, or stony surfaces has turned into a 10-day charity event.  The entry fee is $4,000 but almost everything is taken care of, including: Late model Honda CT110 Postie bike (registered to you!) All breakfasts, lunches and dinners All fuel for the trip One way air ticket back to Brisbane Support truck to carry equipment, clothing bag and mechanics Final celebration dinner and hotel accommodation That’s right, you can keep the Honda CT110 Postie bike (designed for commercial and agricultural, also used by Australia Post) but the concept is to give the bike to charity in your name after the event is over, its up to you but more than 90% of the participants do give the bike back. Hit the jump to see the video and for more info on this years trek. The 2009 Postie Bike Challenge will take place from October 3rd to the 13th and will go from Brisbane to Melbourne, the destination changes every year.  The route taken will be about 2,000 miles (the direct route is about 1,000 miles).  If your interested, get your entry form and deposit in ASAP, last years event was sold out.

Elias will replace Michel Fabrizio who is reportedly unhappy with late payments from the team’s sponsors.

EICMA 2013: 2014 Honda CBR1000RR First Impressions – Video

Tue, 05 Nov 2013

It may not have a fancy electronics suite like many of its rivals, but the Honda CBR1000RR has long been one of our favorite literbikes due to its light and nimble handling combined with strong, accessible torque. For 2014, Honda is upping the ante with the CBR1000RR SP edition. No, it still doesn’t have any electronic aids, but it does have a bevy of top shelf suspension components.
