Honda CT description
This is a 1970 K0 Candy Ruby Red Trail 70 that has been restored correctly and has a clear CA title. Frame: CT70-2236649 Engine: CT70E-236316 This one stands out because of the paint, engine work, and attention to detail for a correct restore. It was painted by Mike Hogan of Vintage Honda Painting in Long Beach, CA. The engine was built by Darrel Gunderson of Gunderson Restorations in Las Vegas, NV. Darrel is the premier Honda minitrail engine builder on the West Coast and Vintage Honda is one of the best places for candy correct paint on vintage bikes. This started out as a straight and complete California bike. It was all there but in need of restoration. A friend of mine bought it, had it painted and the engine built. He decided to move on to other projects and I took it over. I used all Honda parts with the exception of a few items that are nice to have reproduction. The seat, handlebars, and rear shocks are CHP. Everything has been re zinc coated, painted or refinished to match original condition. The only part I did not take a part and rebuild internally is the speedometer. This speedo is very nice and the overlay colors are very good. I prefer to leave them original when they are this nice. I have test ridden this and adjusted the carburetor, clutch, and brakes. It's awesome! Everything works and is in place. It's ready to go. I'll send the title to the winner on full payment with all the parts bags used during assembly.
Please reply with any questions and I will contact you as soon as possible. I can share a link to a Google Photo Album with more pictures I took during the build. Thanks for your interest! -Rusty |

Pit Biking; good clean fun for all the family
Wed, 01 Feb 2012If you haven’t tried Pit Biking yet, you’re missing out on some incredible fun, and it won’t break the bank. The majority of pit bikes are of Chinese origin and I guess, are best described as modern day monkey bikes. Yes Chinese, and I’ve witnessed them being thrashed round all day long without missing a beat, so Jonny Wong and co. are finally getting there on quality and reliability! Although Pit Bikes are designed for off road use, an extra few hundred quid spent on matching up wheels, fitting tarmac tyres and some crash protection will mean you’re track ready for a total of around £600.
Isle of Man TT 2013: Lightweight TT Race Results
Fri, 07 Jun 2013James Hillier set new lap time and race time records in a dominating victory in the Lightweight TT race for the 2013 Isle of Man TT. All three of the Kawasaki rider’s lap times were faster than the previous lap record for the Lightweight TT class, for a record overall time of 57:42.245 and average speed of 117.694 mph. The race started with another Kawasaki rider (the class is dominated with Kawasaki Ninja 650s with a few Suzuki SV650s) Dean Harrison taking the early lead through the Glen Helen viewpoint but Hillier was right on his tail about half a second behind.
Honda To Build All-Green Test Track For E-Bikes And Cars
Mon, 19 Aug 2013Honda has been making motions about its intentions to enter the electric motorcycle market with the RC-E concept bike and the Mugen Shinden Ni electric race bike (pictured above). Those plans are further bolstered by the news Honda will be constructing a test track dedicated entirely to the development of electric motorcycles and cars. Building an entirely new test track requires a massive amount of resources, and Honda intends to make this project 100% self-sustainable by using 70,000 solar panels, spread out over 33 hectares, with the track and remaining facilities taking up another 25 hectares.
