Up for auction is a 1982 Honda CB 900 custom in excellent condition, has almost 45,000 miles, runs and drives good, new battery and plugs, could use a carb cleaning, kindof cold blooded. Bike is pretty much rust free, very clean, chrome is very nice. Has an oil leak when running, I'm not sure where it's coming from, could be the tappet cover gasket but not for sure, tires have good tread but are weather checked, needs new ones, everything works on bike, has factory fairing with radio that works, inside of tank is clean, seat is nice but I don't think it's original cover. 2014 Honda CTX700 Recalled in Canada for ABS Issue
Thu, 11 Jul 2013Transport Canada announced a recall for the new Honda CTX700 because of a manufacturing error in its anti-lock braking system. The Canadian recall applies to both the CTX700N and the partially-faired CTX700T (known simply as the Honda CTX700 in the U.S. market and other markets.) According to the recall notice, the ABS modulator may have been manufactured incorrectly and could potentially fail, allowing the front and/or rear wheels to lock up under heavy braking, increasing the risk of a crash.
Moto2 needs more radical bikes
Wed, 05 Sep 2012Makers of fine exhausts, Taylormade Racing have built a Moto2 racer that harks back to the innovative machines like the Elf Honda 500 and Britten V1000. Since Moto2's inception in 2010 the class has featured bikes with conventional chassis but the Taylormade bike, designed by Paul Taylor and John Keogh, has a radical design featuring a carbon-fibre monocoque frame, carbon-fibre swingarm, wishbone monoshock front suspension and an under-seat radiator. However, with such radical engineering the inherent problem is that it is a risk for teams to invest in such a project.
