Honda Canada has officially announced a new racing series featuring its CBR250R entry-level sportbike, to be held at 2012 Canadian Superbike racing events. The new Honda CBR250R Challenge series replaces the previous CBR125R spec series and will include a double-header at each CSBK National race weekend. The series is open to riders 15-25, though riders as young as 13 may be eligible if they have competed in at least three sanctioned CBR125R events.Tue, 06 Oct 2009
As Honda prepares its new VFR1200 for its official unveiling, the red-wing company has set up a website detailing its long involvement in V-4 engines. It began back in 1979 with the introduction of the NR500 grand prix racebike. Rather than fielding a 500cc two-stroke engine, Honda used a four-stroke oval-piston V-4 motor – essentially a V-8 with four cylinders that could be revved to 19,500 rpm!Mon, 30 Sep 2013
Tom Sykes and Eugene Laverty each came away with a victory as the World Superbike Championship made its return to Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. The first race featured two red flags, ironically caused by AMA Superbike regulars Danny Eslick and Roger Hayden, the two men with the most recent experience at the famed track. The second race was a much cleaner affair, with a dramatic finish, setting up the final two rounds of the championship.
