Looks closely at the photos, what you see is exactly what you will receive. It WILL NEED WORK you can not ride it home. The bike DOES START with the help of starter fluid. The carbs will need to be rebuilt, or at least cleaned/dipped. The starter button does not work (the button itself) but starts off the kick starter or direct power. Starter is good. The right side cover has a small hole, high enough that there is still plenty of oil, but it needs to be replaced or repaired. Looks like the brake lever cracked it. Will need a battery, throttle cable (tight) and other minor things typical with restoring an older bike that has been sitting. One bag is cracked at the latch (the one that on in the photos) Both bags included. Missing front brake lever (I have one from another cb500 thats included) Overall its a very solid, very original starting point. Great candidate for a cafe build or restoration. TOO NICE TO PART OUT. Honda To Build All-Green Test Track For E-Bikes And Cars
Mon, 19 Aug 2013Honda has been making motions about its intentions to enter the electric motorcycle market with the RC-E concept bike and the Mugen Shinden Ni electric race bike (pictured above). Those plans are further bolstered by the news Honda will be constructing a test track dedicated entirely to the development of electric motorcycles and cars. Building an entirely new test track requires a massive amount of resources, and Honda intends to make this project 100% self-sustainable by using 70,000 solar panels, spread out over 33 hectares, with the track and remaining facilities taking up another 25 hectares.
Frog eBike – the Electric Successor to 1985 Frog FZ750 Concept
Tue, 03 Apr 2012San Francisco-based Frog Design released images of a new electric motorcycle concept, just as its influential Yamaha FZ750-based Rana concept gets enshrined at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Frog designer Jin Soek Hwang prepared the Frog eBike concept as an expression of how electric motor technology can influence motorcycle design. In a post on Frog’s blog, the designer says he was inspired in part by Frog’s 1985 FZ750 Rana concept (pictured after the jump).
2014 LA Calendar Motorcycle Show Concourse d’ Elegance Report
Wed, 06 Aug 2014The 2014 edition of the LA Calendar Motorcycle Show continued its now 23-year tradition as the premier outdoor streetbike event in America with producer photographer Jim Gianatsis moving the show this year to the beautiful green lawns of the Malibu Golf Course among the twisty canyon roads in the Santa Monica Mountains alongside the Pacific Ocean. Highlighting this year’s exciting activities was the emergence of another new and soon to be renown custom bike builder to the sport for which the Calendar Show is known for cultivating. Taking Best of Show in this year’s Calendar Bike Building Championship was Calin Senciac’s Imagine Vehicles International / ImagineVehicles.com motorsports fabrication shop with an incredible custom billet aluminum designed chassis built by Terry Ward and the shop crew, housing a legendary 1979 Honda CBX 1047cc air-cooled in-line 6-cylinder engine.
