Honda CB description

1974 Honda 550 four. $2700.00

Rated as one of Hondas best built motorcycles. I bought it new in 1974. It has only been driven on that special occasion when the mood hits you and that’s why it has only 7700 mile. I’m now in my senior years and it’s time for someone else to enjoy it. This magnificent machine has been meticulously cared for in every detail, winterized and stored inside every year.  Several years ago, the bike was repainted a deep cherry red. Other than that, it is factory original. That includes, the original chrome handle bars, chrome fenders and chrome wheels, gauges, stickers, seat, keys, chain cover, gas tank and side overs. The seat is original although the back rest should be replaced. The tires are in great shape and the battery is new. It has a chrome crash bar with foot pegs. The bike has never been put down. A complete refurbishing was just finished to factory specs. That included a removal; tear down, cleaning, adjusting, and synchronizing all four original carburetors. The original  tank was removed, boiled out and sealed so it will never rust. The brakes were removed cleaned and readjusted. The brake fluid was replaced.  The mufflers were replaced from four singles into two with chrome megaphones to give it that rumble sound. The points, plugs and condenser have been replaced as well as the oil. A factory faring has been added that now has a small crack and can be left as is or can be repaired. The bike has been fully winterized and back in storage. It’s ready for that ride around the corner or around the country. It comes with one new matching helmet and five additional helmets.  Inquiries to my e-mail at fdarr612@gmail.com.  Buyer pays all shipping fees & costs.

Honda MotoGP Testing Idled By Engine Failure Investigation

Wed, 29 Feb 2012

A red warning light prevented Honda riders from taking part in the second day of MotoGP testing at Malaysia’s Sepang circuit. While its competitors were hitting the track, Honda was forced to wait for analysis on the engine of Dani Pedrosa‘s RC213V. A red warning light on the RC213V’s dash came on late in the first day of testing, indicating a potential failure.

Japanese Motocompo Anime

Mon, 21 Feb 2011

Last week we revealed that Honda are likely to launch the new Honda Motocompo - over 30 years since the first version. I must admit, I'd never heard of it before we ran the news story, so I got onto YouTube and tried to find footage of a very efficient and humble Japanese businessman unloading one out of the boot of a Honda Civic in order to minimise their carbon footprint, but no... I couldn't find one.

Isle of Man TT 2013: Lightweight TT Race Results

Fri, 07 Jun 2013

James Hillier set new lap time and race time records in a dominating victory in the Lightweight TT race for the 2013 Isle of Man TT. All three of the Kawasaki rider’s lap times were faster than the previous lap record for the Lightweight TT class, for a record overall time of 57:42.245 and average speed of 117.694 mph. The race started with another Kawasaki rider (the class is dominated with Kawasaki Ninja 650s with a few Suzuki SV650s) Dean Harrison taking the early lead through the Glen Helen viewpoint but Hillier was right on his tail about half a second behind.
