THERE IS NO TITLE..  CAME DOWN FROM MAINE WHERE IT HAS BEEN STORED FOR DECADES..   THE  ORIGINAL OWNER RE- PAINTED IT AND APPLIED THE HONDA DECALS.    COLOR IS CORRECT TO MY EYE  AND LOOKS OK..  WILL LOOK BETTER WITH A COMPOUNDING & WAX..    CHROME ON THE BIKE WILL TAKE A SHINE NICELY..    LOW MILEAGE,  TACH  WORKS BUT CABLE WAS FROZE UP AND NEEDS REPLACED.   SPEEDO & ODOMETER WORK FINE..   BRAKES BRAKE, HORN HONKS ,, GOES  VROOM !     NICE RUNNER.   GIVEN THE LOW MILEAGE I WOULD GUESS SHE'S READY FOR A CHECK OF THE VALVE   CLEARANCE...    STORAGE FOR A REASONABLE PERIOD IS FINE .. Having a Randy Mamola moment

Thu, 10 May 2012

Back in 1985 Randy Mamola was captured on film performing the most miraculous save of all time, hanging on for dear life as his Honda NSR500 tried to fling him from his seat. Recently, we've seen some impromptu homages to the original with Jonathan Rea at Assen and the near-save from Jakub Kornfeil in the Moto3 race at Jerez. Now we have on-board footage of American racer Genki Hagata calming a high-side at the Infineon Raceway in California.

BMW 1000RR and the Honda C70, are they indestructible?

Wed, 20 Apr 2011

I’ve managed 1374 miles on the Michelin Power Pures (mostly on track) and although we’ve had some decent temperatures they still look like new so there’s plenty meat left for another month at least. I’ve been running them at 30psi front and 32psi rear and find they warm up after a few miles but I wouldn’t say the temperature comes any quicker than any of the competition so it has to be four miles before I get brave. I’ve had a few out the seat moments with my BMW but I have got the rear suspension  set pretty hard (8 rebound,8 compression, two turns on pre load) and in slick mode, so 190bhp in first gear at the Knockhill hairpin is always going to be dodgy.

Video: On-board with Stoner at Sepang

Tue, 28 Feb 2012

The story of MotoGP testing has so far seen Casey Stoner maintain his dominance on the Repsol Honda. At the first test at Sepang 26 days ago - where the above footage was recorded - the 2007 and 2011 champion was the only rider to break the two minute barrier at the Malaysian circuit, ending the two-days at the track with a best time of 1:59.607.
