Harley-Davidson Other description

HERE IS A BEAUTIFUL 1968 HARLEY DAVIDSON FLH SHOVELHEAD ENGINE WIDE GLIDE MOTORCYCLE. THIS MOTORCYCLE WAS ALL PROFESSIONALLY REDONE AND IT'S READY TO GO, IT HAS 2500 mileS ON IT. THE ORIGINAL OWNER HAD THIS MOTORCYCLE SINCE NEW, HE HAD IT COMPLETELY REDONE WITH PLANS ON KEEPING THE MOTORCYCLE UNTIL THE DAY HE DIED. HE ENDED UP LOSING HIS JOB AND DECIDED TO LET THE MOTORCYCLE GO. THIS MOTORCYCLE NEEDS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING AT ALL, YOU COULD RIDE IT THIS WAY, OR YOU COULD INVEST A FEW BUCKS OR SELL OR TRADE SOMEBODY THE PARTS ON THE BIKE TO GET THE CORRECT FLH FRONT END AND FENDERS AND BRING IT RIGHT BACK TO 100% ORIGINAL, THE REST OF THE WORK IS ALL DONE FOR YOU. THE BIKE WAS REPAINTED ONCE BEFORE BACK IN LIKE 1972, THE OWNER FILLED IN THE NECK AREA WITH BONDO JUST TO GIVE A CLEAN SMOOTH LOOK, THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE NECK AREA, IT WAS NEVER CUT OR RAKED OR WELDED OR ANYTHING, THE OWNER PROMISED ME THAT IT JUST HAS BONDO ON IT. I REALLY DON'T HAVE MUCH TO SAY ABOUT THIS BIKE, I BELIEVE THE IMAGES TELL THE WHOLE STORY, IT'S IN REAL NICE CONDITION. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CALL OR EMAIL ME. THE NUMBER IS 2*18**2576 (*=0).

Wed, 23 Jul 2014

“Built for Speed – Race Inspired Motorcycles and Art” is the title of Michael Lichter’s 14th annual “Motorcycles as Art” exhibition in Sturgis this August, which for the second year in a row, will be jointly curated by Michael and Paul d’Orleans of the Vintagent. ‘Built for Speed’ is sure to impress visitors with a beautiful and thought-provoking display of motorcycles and related art, the race-inspired theme making connections between motorcycle racing and custom bike designs inspired by racers. Each custom bike in ‘Built for Speed’ reflects a branch of racing; Speedway, Flat Track, Drag Racing, Board Track,  Grand Prix, Land Speed Record, and will be displayed beside the racing machines suggesting the origins of each style.
