2007 Harley-Davidson FXST Softail Standard, FXST Softail Standard - A LAID-BACK HARD TAIL LOOK WITH A CUSHY HIDDEN REAR SUSPENSION. Wrap your knuckles around a little classic 70s custom action. Tough with a premium blend of cool. The Custom brings the shiny stuff from the headlight and engine covers all the way to the tank-mounted, big-digit speedometer. Six gears smooth as a babys butt matched to a new silver powder-coated and chrome-detailed Twin Cam 96 power plant. Shimmering 49 mm front forks. A Fat Bob tank. Retro two-stepped seat. A Super Glide script on the battery cover and the legendary #1 logo on the leather tank console pile on attitude and bring this metal masterpiece to a booming crescendo. Brute strength mixed with a heaping helping of eye-bulging style.

The lower seat isn’t the only change to accommodate shorter riders.

Harley-Davidson Reveals Project Livewire

Thu, 19 Jun 2014

Yesterday we published a scoop on what we believed to be a production electric motorcycle by, of all companies, Harley-Davidson, dubbed “Livewire.” Today, H-D officially announced Project LiveWire as the company’s first electric motorcycle. However, it appears as though our speculation about LiveWire going into production was a bit off base. Instead, The Motor Company is continuing with its customer-led product development approach and letting riders decide whether or not LiveWire sees the light of day. Starting next week select consumers across the country will be able to ride and provide feedback on the bike, helping to shape the future of Harley-Davidson’s first-ever electric motorcycle. While not for sale, Project LiveWire is specifically designed for the purpose of getting insight into rider expectations of an electric Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

A Man of LOVE

Fri, 24 Oct 2008

I had a unique opportunity this week to sit down with Oliver Shokouh, the founder of the Love Ride, only days before the 25th anniversary of the purportedly largest one-day rally in the world, kicks-off this coming Sunday, October 26. First and foremost I’m very grateful for Oliver to set aside over half an hour of his precious time so close to the event. Not only does he head-up this massive event, he’s also busy running the very busy and successful Harley-Davidson/Buell of Glendale (California).
