Designed with Dunlop’s MT Multi-Tread technology, with a long-wearing center compound and grippier compounds on each edge, the new American Elite’s should pique the interest of Harley FL owners. The second-gen series of American Elites are also now available with narrow white bar sidewalls and wide white walls along with the original black sidewall, providing FL owners more choices. For riders of Harley-Davidson FL Touring bikes, model year 2009 and later, the new second-generation American Elite tires with Multi-Tread are available in 130/80B17 and 180/65B16 black sidewall, 130/80B17 and 180/65B16 narrow white sidewall, 130/90B16 and 180/65B16 wide white sidewall, with the 130/70B18 front tire available for select CVO bikes. Laconia Harley-Davidson and New Hampshire Motor Speedway to Raise $76K for Boys & Girls Clubs in World Record Attempt
Thu, 23 May 2013Laconia Harley-Davidson and New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) have teamed up to make the 90th Anniversary of Laconia Motorcycle Week even more historic through an effort to raise over $76,000 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of New Hampshire and set a new Guinness Worlds Record. Laconia Motorcycle Week attendees and New Hampshire residents will play a key role in this endeavor by purchasing tickets for a Community Appreciation Parade at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on the final Saturday of Bike Week, June 15th. Participants will have the unique opportunity to ride around the New Hampshire Motor Speedway track, continue on a police escorted, scenic 32-mile ride around the Lakes Region, set a new Guinness World Record and most importantly, raise significant funds for the Boys & Girls Clubs of New Hampshire.
Louisiana Bill Updates Maximum Handlebar Height Legislation
Thu, 17 May 2012Louisiana state lawmakers have approved a bill that would change the maximum height of motorcycle handlebars. Current state law restricts handlebar height to no more than 15 inches above the seat, a somewhat arbitrary level, but a common choice with 17 other states. The House has voted 87-0 in favor of Senate Bill 582 to change the maximum height to the rider’s shoulder level, as measured while sitting on the seat.
