Harley-Davidson Other description

This is a 1978 Harley Davidson FXE. I am the third owner of this bike and all miles on it are original. All numbers on this bike match. The bike drivetrain was completely rebuilt in 2011 and has just over 690 miles on it since. I am selling this bike because my job (Army) keeps me out of the country so much that I never have an opportunity to ride. The bike is both kick and electric start, has new tires, and is ready to ride. I will answer serious buyers questions concerning the rebuild. I am asking $5500 or best offer.

Tue, 17 Jan 2012

Harley-Davidson has added the Twin Cam 96, Twin Cam 103 and 2003-2006 CVO Twin Cam 103 engines to its engine remanufacturing program. The program, which previously accepted 1984 and newer Evolution 1340, Twin Cam 88, Twin Cam 88B and Twin Cam 95 powerplants, takes used engines, rebuilds and repaints them. Customers can take their existing Harley-Davidson motorcycle to a dealer which will remove the engine and send it back to the factory.

The TwinTrax Is A Machine Straight From Mad Max

Fri, 27 Sep 2013

Just look at this motorcycle for a moment. A creation of the German Motorcycle Authority, the TwinTrax is nearly 107 inches long, weighs 882 pounds, and took owner/builder Christoph Madaus 12 years to complete. Oh, and don’t forget the two Harley-Davidson V-Twins powering this thing.
