First and most important is PATINA. This is not a show bike. It is a 1977 Shovelhead FXE that is ridden. It gets looks everywhere you go. Looks great and sounds great. It has original wear and tare. IF YOU WANT A SHOW BIKE THIS IS NOT FOR YOU. This is the bike I personally ride. It is set up for me the way I like it. Panhead hinged fender with emblem on rear. FLH front fender and rim. Early tank emblems. Solo seat. B carb etc. I have a Super E for it if you want. I have three seats, fenders, original grips, etc that can go with it. The stator, coil, clutch, tires, points, plugs and battery are new last year. Oil cooler and filter set up with new lines. Oil pressure is 40 to 60 lbs. #'s matching with clear title in my name. Bike must be paid for in 7 days. You must contact me within 24 hrs of buying. Free storage is no problem until you pick it up BUT the bike must be paid for first. Harley-Davidson World Ride Tops 10 Million Miles; Eclipses 2012 Total by 28 Percent
Mon, 01 Jul 2013Motorcycle riders from around the world enthusiastically joined members of the Harley Owners Group (HOG) on June 23 and 24 to shatter last year’s record mileage total for the Harley-Davidson World Ride by collectively logging more than 10 million miles, a 28 percent increase over the 2012 total. Launched in 2008 as HOG’s Million Mile Monday, the annual event was expanded into the two-day Harley-Davidson World Ride in 2012 to give more riders worldwide an opportunity to participate. In 2012, participants logged 7,799,140 miles, but this year as riders celebrated the 110th Anniversary of Harley-Davidson Motor Company and the 30th Anniversary of HOG that culminates this Labor Day weekend in Milwaukee, they blitzed that record by more than 25 percent, tallying an official total of 10,018,231 miles.

Fri, 19 Dec 2008Every year it seems that newspaper advertisements, radio and TV commercials for Christmas start earlier and earlier. As soon as the sun begins to set on Halloween, department stores begin packing shelves and websites start stocking inventory in preparation for the impending feeding frenzy that will occur for the most commercial of holidays next to valentine’s day. While spending the holiday with family normally keeps me blitzed off eggnog and most of these aforementioned advertisements are enough to make me want to book a cruise for an entire fortnight at the end of December, this one commercial for Harley-Davidson made me laugh.
Easy Rider 40th Anniversary
Tue, 27 Oct 2009Peter Fonda, who played Wyatt in the 1969 cult classic, Easy Rider, was in Glendale, CA on Friday to help promote the Blu-Ray release of the film which marks the 40th anniversary. The movie was scheduled to be shown at the Love Ride event that was canceled this year, instead the film screened at a local Harley-Davidson dealer. One of the film’s main objective was to expose violence and racism in the U.S. in a negative light but instead it seems that it was taken the wrong way with most, glorifying the lifestyle that was portrayed in the film.
