1969 Harley-Davidson FLH ELECTRA GLIDE SHOVELHEAD, This is simpy the nicest running & riding classic Harley I have ever ridden. 1969 was the last year for the Panhead or Generator bottom Shovelhead. This bike was completely restored in 2010 and has only 6,090 miles since complete. The motor and trans were completely rebuilt. The motor & trans are OEM original Harley and have matching vin#. Original HD Frame. The previous owner built this bike to ride and it is so smooth. It's swingarm frame along with the leather pogo seat rides softer than a new Bagger. The motor pulls strong and runs fantastic. Transmission shift smoothly. This is a very solid bike.Old drum brakes have been upgraded to disc brakes w/ genuine HD banana calipers. Swingarm is chrome as well as brake linkage. Many other extras/upgrades like S&S Super E carburetor, chrome handlebar controls, new windshield, drag pipes, chrome tappets, oil temp gauge, chrome shocks, chrome rotor cover, smooth rear fender, custom rear light bar, chrome chain guard, chrome front fender trim, chrome layback tag bracket, and much more. As soon as the sun begins to set on Halloween, department stores begin packing shelves and websites start stocking inventory in preparation for the impending feeding frenzy that will occur for the most commercial of holidays next to valentine’s day. While spending the holiday with family normally keeps me blitzed off eggnog and most of these aforementioned advertisements are enough to make me want to book a cruise for an entire fortnight at the end of December, this one commercial for Harley-Davidson made me laugh.
Harley-Davidson Expands H-D1 Bike Builder Tool for All Non-CVO Models
Fri, 08 Jun 2012Harley-Davidson has expanded its online H-D1 Bike Builder customization tool to include more models from its current lineup. The H-D1 Bike Builder allows users to customize motorcycles with parts from Harley-Davidson‘s catalog. The tool was previously only available for Sportster 1200 models but Harley-Davidson has add all of its models except for the high-end Custom Vehicle Operations line.
