Here we have a beautiful 1968 Electra Glide FLH for sale. I purchased this bike from the second owner who purchased it from the original owner who was his neighbor for many years in Bonne Terre, Missouri. Although the bike was completely stock when the second owner purchased it, over the years, he changed a few things. He switched out the carb/air cleaner and put a Bendix on it. He switched out the speedo and dash, the seat, some exhaust parts, removed turn signals, replaced horn and removed tour pack. However, the original parts are included. He also painted the bike. The bike runs perfectly and could easily be a daily rider. There are two issues with the bike that I am aware of, the first is the second owner sealed the tanks, prior to painting, with a latex sealer and that sealer is now coming loose from the inside of the tanks. However, the technology is now present to remove the latex and dip the tanks without damaging the paint. I was quoted $175 to reseal the tanks by a local radiator shop. The only other issue is, the passing lights do not work and I do not know what is wrong with them. All the numbers match on the bike and the bike is pretty much still a stock bike. 2015 Harley-Davidson CVO and Twin-Cooled Models Certified by CARB
Tue, 19 Aug 2014The California Air Resource Board has released new certification documents revealing most of Harley-Davidson‘s 2015 line-up. The CARB executive orders, required before a motorcycle is allowed to be sold in California, reveal new CVO versions of the Road Glide Ultra and Street Glide, two low versions of the Electra Glide and more models receiving Harley-Davidson’s Twin-Cooled engine. Introduced last year on the Ultra Limited, CVO Limited and Tri-Glide Ultra trike, the Twin-Cooled engine uses liquid-cooling for the cylinder heads, reducing emissions.
