Harley-Davidson Dyna description

1981 Harley-Davidson FXWG original factory flame job.  If you're looking at this you probably already know how rare and desirable these bikes are becoming.  Here is a gorgeous two owner example of Harley-Davidsons first factory "chopper".  This one is a mostly original example, missing only the original air cleaner and exhaust, console trim and original handlebars.  The original speedometer is included with the bike as well as all paperwork back to when the bike was purchased new in Pennsylvania.
The engine was rebuilt by the original owner 2500 miles ago to stock specifications and I have the original pistons, valves, springs and cam that also go along with the bike.  The original black paint shines and the factory flame job is in amazing original condition.
This bike runs and rides amazing.  I just took it on a 200 mile ride through the Northern Arizona mountains yesterday and it performed flawlessly.  I'd love to keep this one, but I need to make room in the garage.

Any and all questions will be promptly answered, and additional photos are available.

Bid early and often, and international bidders are welcome to contact me first.

Shipping is buyers responsibility, and I will assist however necessary.

Harley-Davidson Reveals Project Livewire

Thu, 19 Jun 2014

Yesterday we published a scoop on what we believed to be a production electric motorcycle by, of all companies, Harley-Davidson, dubbed “Livewire.” Today, H-D officially announced Project LiveWire as the company’s first electric motorcycle. However, it appears as though our speculation about LiveWire going into production was a bit off base. Instead, The Motor Company is continuing with its customer-led product development approach and letting riders decide whether or not LiveWire sees the light of day. Starting next week select consumers across the country will be able to ride and provide feedback on the bike, helping to shape the future of Harley-Davidson’s first-ever electric motorcycle. While not for sale, Project LiveWire is specifically designed for the purpose of getting insight into rider expectations of an electric Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

Laguna Seca Added to 2014 AMA Superbike Schedule

Thu, 13 Mar 2014

AMA Superbike will be racing at Laguna Seca this year after all, with AMA Pro Racing announced the addition of the Monterey, Calif., circuit to its 2014 schedule, joining the World Superbike Championship on July 11-13. Laguna Seca was not included in AMA Pro Racing’s calendar, but its addition now increases the number of rounds in the series to six. That’s still down from the nine rounds held in 2013, but the absence of Laguna Seca and its famed Corkscrew would have been an especially tough loss.

Knievel bikes to go on show in Britain

Mon, 15 Nov 2010

THE MOTORCYCLES, leathers and personal memorabilia made famous by US stunt legend Evel Knievel are being exhibited on a world tour, with a UK date on the schedule. The True Evel tour will be at the Battistinis California Dreamin' Expo, 28th-29th May 2011 in Bournemouth, UK. Show-goers will get the chance to see Knievel's famous Harley-Davidson which crashed in a jump over a tank of sharks, the X-2 Sky Cycle from the ill-fated Snake River Canyon jump, the Wheelie Dragster Car, and of course the instantly recognisable blue and white leather suits.
