Ducati Superbike description

2004 Ducati 998 Matrix Edition. Very limited production (1 year only, about 250 made). Factory green paint. Adult ridden, and well cared for. About 12500 miles on it. Newer tires, oil changed recently. Upgrades include : SILMOTOR carbon fiber exhaust, carbon fiber heel plates, heat shield, chain guard and sprocket cover, piepercross air filter, integrated rear tail light/ turn signals and open clutch cover. Dyno tested at 114 HP at the rear wheel with a very good power band. Rear stand included with "buy it now" price. NEVER ON A TRACK!

Has a couple minor scratches and scuffs, and a crack on the bottom left fairing near the kickstand. (see pictures). If you would like more pics, I can add or send you more.

This is a very sweet ride that turns heads everywhere. I have gone on several long trips (600+ miles in a couple days) with it and can honestly say it's fairly comfortable, even with 1 back surgery and another on the way!

Fri, 29 Jun 2012

As expected, MotoGP organizers have officially lifted the rule barring rookies from racing for factory teams, but the Grand Prix Commission also tweaked some other regulations including a cap on factory prototype machines. We’ve discussed the lifting of the rookie rule already, with the main impetus being to allow a manufacturer such as Honda to sign up-and-coming Moto2 star Marc Marquez when he is expected to move up to the premiere class next season. As of Jan.

Ducati Reveals Testastretta DVT Engine + Video

Wed, 15 Oct 2014

Ducati has introduced a new version of its 1198cc engine featuring a variable timing system. As the name implies, the Testastretta Desmodromic Variable Timing (DVT) engine combines the company’s signature desmo valves with a variable timing system that adjusts both intake and exhaust camshafts. According to Ducati, this represents the first ever application of both technologies for a motorcycle engine.

2012 Ducati 1199 Panigale Recall Expands to US

Wed, 20 Jun 2012

As we expected, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced a recall for the 2012 Ducati 1199 Panigale following a similar recall in Canada. The recall affects all versions of the sportbike, including the base 1199 Panigale, 1199 Panigale S and the 1199 Panigale S Tricolore. Ducati is recalling the Panigale because a “non-compliant” screw may have been used to attach the rear suspension linkage to the swingarm.
