Ducati Monster description

Much to my dismay, I have decided to sell my 2012 Monster 696. I simply don't ride it enough and feel bad letting it sit so much.

I am the second owner and purchased the bike in early 2013 with 2,300 miles on it. I will be completely honest too - the bike was low-sided once in 2013 shortly after I bought it. There was no engine or frame damage, and all repairs were made by the Ducati dealer here in town. The rear swing arm was scraped up for a couple inches on the underside, which I cleaned and painted, and that is the only remaining visible flaw from the accident. The little maintenance since then has been performed by the same dealer or 2Topia cycles here in Charlotte. I think I performed 1 oil change myself and that's it. I have all the maintenance records too.

Details:

2012 model with ABS with 4,900 miles
Termignoni exhaust
Bar end mirrors
Competition Werkes fender eliminator kit
Swing Arm Sliders (for a rear stand)

All original parts (except exhaust) will be included if you would like them. I also have a rear stand I will include.

Price: $6,500 (certified check, money order, or PayPal/Venmo)

You must pick-up the bike. I will gladly help load it, but I CANNOT DELIVER!

Let me know if you have any questions!

2011 Ducati Diavel Recalled for Weak Kickstands

Wed, 17 Aug 2011

Ducati issued a recall for the Diavel because of weak kickstands. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the side stands on the 2011 Ducati Diavel was not manufactured with sufficient material at the pivot point. Under certain circumstances, the stand may bend and possibly break at the pivot area, causing a resting Diavel to tip over.

I got to meet Sam when the exhibition opened in Shoreditch on Thursday evening.
