About Optical Media:

All Optical DVDs, Blu-rays and Games are Authentic RETAIL or EX-RENTAL versions.

I DO NOT sell copies or bootleg versions.

Three different versions of  Optical Media are sold:

1) New - Items are standard Retail versions that are sold in major  outlets. Authentic Versions ONLY.

2) Used - Previously viewed NON Rental versions. Some may contain light surface scratches or scuffs.

3) Ex Rental - Previously viewed Rental versions. Some may be Rental Exclusive versions. Some may contain light surface scratches or scuffs.

(Some may not have even been viewed and are in Brand New condition.)

Ex Rentals will have a decal attached to the disc's Label surface. Either as a hub reinforcement decal, or as a normal label.

These can be removed with warm soap and water and a little patience. Warming with a hair dryer can also work, but care

must be taken to not apply too much heat or disc damage may result.

Defects and Wear.

Even a brand new Optical Disc may have defects or faults. Many DVD and even Blu-Ray discs may have a hesitation or pause.

This is usually caused by multi-layer discs changing layers. This is normal.

A hesitation or pause may also be caused by the optical laser in the Disc reader having dust or other grime on the lens.

Overheating can also cause the same issue.  Older disc readers and video displays may have freezing, fragmenting, pause issues with scenes where fast action occurs.

Light surface scratching and scuffs rarely effect the playback of an Optical Disc. As a general rule, if you can feel the scratch with your fingernail, it is not a

scratch, but a gouge. This will be a cause for concern.  Most often, finger smudges and grime will be the reason a disc fails to play properly. Be sure to

clean your discs with a lint free or microfiber cloth.

Resurfacing and Buffing.

Discs may be resurfaced or buffed to restore playback. Some resurfaced discs will have a swirl pattern (very fine scratches). This is normal.

It will not effect playback.

Disc layer separation.

Occasionally you may see layer separation. This occurs when the metallic film in the middle of the disc becomes disconnected from the playback

surface. This does not mean the disc will not work.  Some disc will play perfectly fine, some will not.  The actual data is written on the metallic

film. Not the plastic. As long as the optical reader (laser) can read the data, all should be fine.

Ebay Grading.

I  will always grade the disc surface in the body of the listing.

Good =  Scuffing or light scratches, item still plays fine.

VG or VG+ = Very Good

MINT or Near MINT. = As new or only a very small imperfection.

Due to the volume of discs sold, I cannot test every one.

If  I suspect a disc, I will test play it a 16x speed.

If any disc I sell fails to perform properly, please contact me.
