Celebrated for the Famous Desperado Imagery in Fine Art Paintings, Prints, Fashion Jewelry, Desperado Western and Contemporary Boot line for Men and Women, Night clubs and the "New" G'Larri Cuffs and bracelets.
 
Born in the heart of the Southwest in Albuquerque, New Mexico on  Kirkland Air force base.  Son to Retired  Air Force  POW  hero, Ray Larribas from Albuquerque, New Mexico and  Belen Cabrera also from Albuquerque, New Mexico a house wife and mother to Gerald and 5 siblings.
 
Gerald attended the University of NM with a major in Art Ed and Music Ed.
His art career flourished while attending the University of New Mexico working closely with his art and music professors showing music and artistic promise since the very early age of  three.
He continued  his education at a Technical Vocational institute where he became an Honor student in the field of graphic communications, print advertising, photography and print making. 
He continued to create recognition in the art business world and succeeded in promoting successful image workings with various Entertainment clubs, print advertising companies and Art and Music Festivals. He also created corporate identity packagings. In utilizing his artistic acumen he was successful in promoting his artistic ideas for Disney world and Shooters International where he developed entertainment night clubs based on his famous Desperado Art Imagery.  He continued to open a series of art galleries in both Albuquerque and Santa Fe, New Mexico.  One of his concept galleries was very successful and instrumental in  fusing  style in music and art to the Albuquerque area.  He represented both national and international artists. He worked  with many non-profit organizations in raising money for  homeless children, autistic children, and in promoting children’s health and education. 
He currently is associated with fund raisers at the Hermann Hospital in Houston TX  where he  holds art and music events.  He is also busy building inventory in the fashion industry, selling to collectors and showcasing in various boutiques and online.  He has also showcased in fashion shows in LA and Santa Fe.  
He has a strong background in mountaineering, skiing, rock climbing and many other outdoor activities, a passion since high school. He was a role model skateboarder and enjoyed the sport when NM  opened its’ first skateboard park  in the late eighties.   
 
With a vast and myriad background in Graphic communication, Print advertising, and business owner  of   four art galleries in Albuquerque and Santa Fe New Mexico,  Gerald Larribas’ high impact style is distinct in the realm of fine art, fashion and music.  He has developed and became part of this style thru ,  his years of researching the unique southwest cultures found only in the diverse regions of the Southwest plains and mountains to Western skies and oceans.  Larribas released his Visual Image theme of the Desperadoes bringing a powerful style alive by applying stunning color and technique.  His revolutionary designs capture the untamed beauty observed only in the United States.
 
Gerald Larribas is also noted and famous  for his method of incorporating high fashion with contemporary "soft"  western themes.  His flowing style manifests itself in the freedom, adventure and glamour of the Southwest.  Larribas' art is created in the modern southwest ambiance of his birthplace and exhibits uncluttered lines, open spaces and elegant flair.  His versatility transforms simplicity of style into complexity of interpretation.
